Title: Second Road Trip in May Post by: KenMan on February 14, 2002, 05:00:00 AM Just got lucky today and bought a ticket on Orbitz for under $700! I have been scoping and waiting for the price to come down. I figure this is the best I will probably get? It was over $900 a few weeks ago.

Did you get reasonable connections between flights? I have always been afraid of getting stuck with unworkable connections off of sites like that? I'm just curious. Title: Re: Ken Man... How do you get Orbitz to work? Where did you buy your ticket to? If I may ask. I am trying to find some site to find ticket from San Francisco to Odessa. Can you give me more detail of how you used them. Thanks, MS Title: Re: Re: Ken Man... www.orbitz.com For some reason I found the flights out of Memphis very inexpensive for some reason? I live near Nnew Orleans and Memphis is a hub for KLM/Northwest. So that could be the reason. The flights are the usual 18 hours. I fly GPT - MEM - KBP. There is one 5 hour layover but all the others are around an hour. They give you a list of fights. With the prices, flight numbers and dates/times. So you know what you are buying before you purchase your ticket. You are not bidding. They do that for you. They go directly to the airlines for their prices. I find it to be the best so far. With Priceline you have no idea what you are getting. Only the price. Cheap Tickets and Travelocity seem more expensive. I have been hawking these dates for around two months. It started out at a $1030 went to $930 and stayed at $787 for a couple of weeks. Today for some reason I got $698 and could not pass it up. I'M BACK IN THE U.S.S.R. The Ukraine Girls Really Knock Me Out, They Leave The West Behind! Not really but there are a couple of nice girls I would like to see. Only problem is they all are so fine. They must not know me yet :-) I think they look at us as some easy ticket out of where they are? But I did not find it all that bad when I was there in November. I think they are in for a big dissapointment. The only thing I believe we really have over them is our housing. I do not think I would want to live in one of those flats for the rest of my life. I am spoiled with my house and land! Other than that there are some advantages and disadvantages. God Bless America.. LOL!!! Title: Re: Re: Re: Ken Man... Thanks Ken for the info. I finally got some itenaries which are over $5k. This is way outrageous prices. I used to travel for around $800 to Odessa(like last year), now anything I checked on internet is over $2000, maybe I should just call atravel agent. |
