Title: MAY DAY in UKRAINE
Post by: Quick Fix on February 05, 2002, 05:00:00 AM
I am planning on being in Ukraine at the end of April and into the beginning of May. Does everything shut down on May 1 for the holiday? Is anything still open?(ie. restaurants, grocery store etc) How long does the holiday last? (I know that in the FSU they can really stretch out some of their holidays)
Thanks

It is like (the same) as Labor Day here in North America.   The Govt. close down, they have parades, pic nic,
the restaurants are open, people still have to eat, right.
