Title: at a lost again Post by: snowwego on December 18, 2001, 05:00:00 AM I am looking for the best way to go. Should I use a fiancee visa, spousal and what is the requirements for a fiancee visa in simple language. I am at a lost and am trying to figure out the best way to go.

k-1, k-1, k-1, I can't push this enough ! oh yes and the ability to wait is good too. If ya plan on having a future together a few months is nothing when looking at the big picture. First download from the INS web page two 325A Biographical, and also the I-129F and instructions, then do a web search for k-1 visa and you will find loads of information. If you scroll down to yesterday, you can read through my DCF spasm. I'm over that now. If you marry in Ukraine, you have to stay there or (pay for proof that you were there) for thirty days, then go through the Ukraine hoops to get married. After that, you two go to WARSAW, and file for the I-130 spousal immigration. Well, according to the WARSAW embassy web site, your I-130 goes back to the states for approval. They don't specify which service center it goes to. My guess is it will go the one with jurisdiction over where you live. If that's the TSC, then you wait for them to process apps received MAY 5, up to yours. The WARSAW web site says you should expect 5-7 months. Add to that whatever your local service center will do. According to my Senator's office, the TSC has over 125000 I-130's waiting for approval, and around 3400 I-129F's. And the I-129F's dated late July are being worked on now. Well, that's the facts as I know them. |
