Title: Russian to English Transliteration Table Post by: Dan on December 05, 2001, 05:00:00 AM A while back we had an exchange of messages that addressed questions about transliteration from Russian / Ukrainian to English. One of the questions that has plagued me is why I so often see guide books that have different transliterated spellings of Russian words. I still don't know the answer to that question, but I did manage to find a link for a transliteration table. This one is Russian to English - and I understand the Ukrainian transliteration is different than Russian.
Here's the link: http://libweb.princeton.edu/katmandu/sgman/trrus.html Enjoy. - Dan Title: Re: interesting post Post by: Richard on December 05, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Russian to English Transliteration Table, posted by Dan on Dec 5, 2001
Interesting link! I ended up browsing some of the library related links on that page. I used to be a librarian. FWIW, my fiance' is a librarian. Anyway, I digress. Thanks for the post. |
