DOES HE STILL RUN ANASTASIA WITH HIS WIFE? I NOTICED HES PICTURED ALONE ON HIS WEB SITE NOW, AND THE COMPANIES IN MAINE NOW. DOES HIS WIFE STILL GO ON THE TRIPS TOO? I'D LIKE TO GO ON THIS TOUR, BUT EURO CONNECTIONS HAS BEEN FEATURED ON 48 HOURS AND DATELINE SO MUCH THAT THEY MIGHT BE THE BEST. WOULD THESE COMPANIES GET MAD IF YOU MEET SOMEONE IN TOWN AND NOT AT THE SOCIALS? MY FREIND TOLD ME, LUNCH TIME IS A GREAT TIME TO MEET LADIES BECAUSE THEIR JUST THERE TALKING AMONGST THEMSELVES. ITS DIFFERENT FROM AMERICA. YOU MIGHT GET A DINNER DATE. HIS LADY WILL BE HERE AFTER THE NEW YEAR. IT WOULD BE NICE IF SHE HAD SOME FREINDS I COULD INVITE TO THE SOCIALS.

Anastasia was the worst agency I have encountered operating tours to the FSU period.  I feel sorry for David personally but he got what he deserved for ripping off so many Americans.

I would not waste my time or money (again) on an Anastasia trip. Try hooking up with Jack. (It worked for me.)

In the internet age, it's like all caps means you're yelling and a lot of folks will simply not respond simply because of it.... unless of course, you're blind and don't know the caps key; in which case it helps to let others know.

Lay off the capital letters..

European Connections is the biggest tour operator going right now.  The owners son and nephew (?) both married Russian girls which probably helps their business.  If you're really selective, I don't think tours are the best way to go unless you have written ladies you like in advance and ask them to meet you there.  If you plan to meet a girl there, be sure and get her phone number in advance.  Tour operators don't have half the girls phone numbers.  

Tours are not as scary as a trip by youself, so for a first timer I think it's a good idea.  The average girls at the socials aren't nearly as good as what you see in the catalogs.  Socials are just so awkward too.  You're sitting in a big room for hours looking around for women that you want to talk to and there may not be many.  If you see 10 beautiful women you may get to talk to 5 of them.  You'll see some guy talk to a girl and then she'll get up and walk right out of the room and you have to wonder what he just said to her.  Or, you get a nice girl to sit and talk to you and she won't get up and leave so you can meet somebody else.  She's keeping you from meeting other girls that are walking back and forth right in front of you.  Little tip: Don't talk to women just to be nice.  I did that with a couple before I learned my lesson.  I couldn't get rid of them and I thought one was crazy.  I couldn't understand what the crazy woman was saying but I could tell from my translator that something was wrong.  

If you aren't going to go to socials, then be sure you don't pay for that part of the trip.  The services can be priced out separately.  A Foreign Affair was supposed to be a good company to take a tour with.  They provided food and drinks and a better social atmosphere according to one guy I talked to.  Another guy really thought Anastasia did a poor job with their social.  He thought they just invited girls off the street.

Hey,

I heard that Scanna was bought out by Anastasia.

Does anyone know how this strange situation will affect SCanna?

I always liked their layout, and they didn;t seem to be pushing the same women that all of the others were...

But now I would be afraid to buy any addresses from them now. Does anyone know where Scanna stands in all of this???

Scanna will continue to operate as normal.  Scanna was bought out by Anastasia a long time ago.  I feel that if Anastasia goes under then Scanna will also fold as they are both owned by the same person/persons. (Lena and David)

If you meet a lady somewhere out in public.  Remember, they are catering to you not you to them.  All they really care about is getting the money.  Whether or not you are successful will be primarily up to you.

I only live about 30 minutes from David and he and I still talk sometimes.

The real story is that David and his Russian wife are getting a divorce.  I really think that David just did not find a sincere lady to be his wife but at the same time it takes two to tango so I am not pointing any fingers at any one person.  I think that maybe both were to blame but maybe she more than he.

David did go to escort a tour and while he was gone his wife and tour manager (who are a couple, and have been for some time) shut down the Winchester office and moved the whole thing to Maine.  David did not have any idea about this at the time and only found out when he came back to the USA.  

David is still receiving money/checks from Anastasia and the Anastasia company is still doing tours but to me it sounded like the Anastasia company was in a real hurt financially right now.

I told david that it sounded to me like they would slowly push him completely out of Anastasia if it doesn't go belly-up first.

He was just another American guy.  And really not such a handsome or well built man but he was much younger than David.  I cannot say how long their relationship had been going on but I know they were "together" when I first went on tour a couple of years ago.  And the relationship was pretty much known to David the whole time so I am thinking there marriage must have ended up more of a relationship of convenience, although I am sure that it may not have begun that way.  Personally I always thought his wife Lena was a very cold fish and could not imagine what he saw in her.

I have heard stories about guys from NY and LA that have had their Russian wives taken off their hands by Russian guys that live in these areas. If the woman has a cheating heart, I guess nationality is just an afterthought.

dave got screwed. he escorted a group of guys to ukraine in october, when he returned home he found his business, wife and tour director gone.

Actually you do have a point, but these tour companies are not generally too concerned with your success or failure.  All they care about is providing the environment and the ladies and it is totally up to you to make your success in this search.  They are not providing counseling or even advise on these tours.  

The only one I have used that comes close to this is Jack from First Dream who was genuinely concerned about my finding a good wife.  He offered some truly excellent, objective advice and even checked up on me a couple of times to see how I was doing and to see if I needed any assistance.

As it stands now, I am currently engaged to a great girl.

Need I say more!!!!!
