Yup! As I see it the positive and negative feedback on all these agencies is complete fair game. If they peek in on the forum...it makes them play a fair game...otherwise they operate in secrecy. There is now such an incredible plethora of quais-virtual internet agencies...that they should be fair game for poster's experience's and feedback. be creative with the name, Tim Title: Re: Fair Game, Patrick Think About It Post by: Bobby Orr on December 08, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Fair Game, Patrick Think About It, posted by tim360z on Dec 7, 2001
Let me put it this way. I posted about agencies in Kharkov two or three weeks ago before I went. I received mixed messages from people here none of which had personally tried the agency I used. I rolled the dice and went anyway. I paid $104 to write letters to as many girls in the service and to receive as many replies as I did each month. After seeing from the letters that the girls were real and sincere, and seeing girls who said thanks but no thanks I decided that I liked two enough to take the chance and had another 4 pretty girls with decent values write letters to me as backups. The agency puts you up in a super first class flat for 10 days (it probably costs them no more than $100 by the way), meets you and takes you back to the airport, sets up dates and translates for you when necessary, lets you go to their home office to look at pictures / talk about new girls if you are running low on dates and decide you want to meet additional girls that you have not previously corresponded with. At the end of your stay they take first class photos of the girl you like best and yourself - assuming that occurs and that does not always occur. The agency only guarantees you will meet as many girls as want to meet you in their service - not that you will do a fiance visa for sure. In the event the guy meets no girl that he really likes / mutual attraction etc. they will just take pictures of the guy. The girls in this agency are photographed extremely well. With the exception of one girl every girl looked as good or better than her photos in person. They charge $2055 which has to be wired to them in advance which is steep for the 10 days. It cost me roughly $900 for the round trip ticket on Austrian Air. You could spend as little as $20 per day in Kharkov if you want to. I think I spent about $60 per day. Kharkov is a decent city, but if you are looking for a vacation go to St. Petersburg, Kiev or Moscow. Back to the agency, I chose them because they had alot of girls on their site that I found hot. I do not like to go over to Russia with only one or two girls that I have written for months or years because I have seen that approach fail more often than not. I think you have to write, but not for a long period of time. Three or four letters is enough to know if you want to meet the girl or not. I believe that there are many great girls here. The reason I go to Russia is that I can meet a prettier, younger girl with hopefully as good or better values than I can meet here. Plus, it is alot of fun to go over there. I have a blast every time. I hope I gave enough information without mentioning the agency name. Another hint is that it begins with the letter M. One other thing on the flight. I had a window of opportunity to take a vacation so I booked the flight five days before leaving. It cost $616 plus taxes. I had to do the Ukrainian visa in two business days and paid $170 for the travel agency to run the papers through for me. Then you can post about the agency. Anything close to the agency name would help. If you have problems with a post, then copy and paste it to a Word or text file for later when you figure out what's wrong. Jack doesn't get his agency name deleted because he doesn't SPAM the board all the time. I wrote a long detailed message first but this site rejected it as an advertisement for the service. I do not do that. I have been to Russia three times this year and Ukraine twice looking for a wife. I am just happy to share my experiences with my fellow Americans in the same boat as me. I appreciate the advice from others and am happy to give back advice to others. So, maybe this post will not be rejected. Title: Spam list Post by: Patrick on December 10, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: Recent Trip, posted by Bobby Orr on Dec 7, 2001
There's probably 30 or so URLs on the spam list. They get put on the list when someone spams the board with promotional messages. It's a shame when owners come to the board simply to use it as an advertising venue without first reading the message board FAQ and rules. The spam filter not only stops the promotional posts, it stops others from posting the site name in legitimate questions as well. Hi Bobby. I am new to the game and would love to get some info from somebody out there familiar with some of the agencies. I was amazed to find out the vast number of services out there. I would really like to find out what agencies really fufill their promises. I would appreciate it immensely if you would e-mail me back. Thanks Bobby, Larry Title: Re: Re: Recent Trip Post by: DE on December 07, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: Recent Trip, posted by Bobby Orr on Dec 7, 2001
You just needed to take out the agencies name. Title: Re: Re: Re: Recent Trip Post by: thesearch on December 07, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: Re: Recent Trip, posted by DE on Dec 7, 2001
How come none of my posts about Jack and Firstdream are allowed? I think we should be able to mention any agency. Title: I see both sides Post by: DE on December 07, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: Re: Re: Recent Trip, posted by thesearch on Dec 7, 2001
There have been some that sort of spam the board causing Patrick to HAVE to ban their URL and name. Then I also agree that open discussions about agencies are to the benefit of those of us who post that are not affliated with agencies. I think most of us have become creative with the names so that posters know who we are referring to which Patrick has allowed or at least tolerated. This seems to be a fairly good compromise. But I'm sure most of us don't want this to turn into an advertising medium by the agencies. I sort of feel bad every once in a while when some hard working individual that's not affliated with an agency over there posts that they are willing to assist us in finding apartments, translations, etc. only to be hounded by some posters for "advertising". I admire entrepreneurialship and believe they may offer us a service that is relative to the objectives of this board. |
