Title: Sending gifts to Ukraine...question Post by: MichaelS on December 04, 2001, 05:00:00 AM I like to send some gifts to my mother-in-law in Odessa.
Anyone has a suggestion as how and what service to use for safe shipping? Thanks in advance for your input. MS Title: Re: Sending gifts to Ukraine...question Post by: cherokee on December 05, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Sending gifts to Ukraine...question, posted by MichaelS on Dec 4, 2001
there is an agency in parma ohio who ships for $.59/lb. and a $10 delivery fee to Ukraine. expect 4-6 weeks for delivery. I mailed them my 25 lbs. package via USPS ($5.47) They told me not to worry about customs, they'll handle that without problems. If you'd like, email me and I'll send you their info. good luck! I am trying to send her some clothing. As you mentioned I may try US post office. Title: Re: Sending gifts to Ukraine...question Post by: tim360z on December 04, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Sending gifts to Ukraine...question, posted by MichaelS on Dec 4, 2001
Depends on what you are sending. For most purposes I have found USPS @ your local post office to be just fine. But, I have only shipped to Kiev and Lugansk. A few months ago I sent a 12 lb package and it cost $60 to Kiev and took about 8-9 days. Someone else has also recommended Meest in Elizabeth, N.J. UPS is much more expensive and is B to B oriented. Fedex, I do not know. Hope it helps. Title: Re: U.S. Express Mail n/t Post by: Charles on December 04, 2001, 05:00:00 AM |
