Is how one beautiful Russian lady taught me to drink it with a tomato juice chaser. She said never with anything sweet if I wanted to avoid a hang over. Her method worked. Drink a big glass of water before you go to bed. The alchol dehydrates you... Take a tylonel tablet, if need be. Title: DO NOT TAKE TYLENOL ON ALCOHOL Post by: BarryM on December 01, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: How to avoid a hangover, posted by wsbill on Nov 29, 2001
Tylenol breaks down in the liver and could cause some problems there when mixed with alcohol; in some cases toxic shock syndrome. You're better off chugalugging several glasses of water and relieving yourself a few times before bed. If you have to take anything, take an aspirin or BC Powder, never Tylenol. There have been warnings about mixing alcohol and Tylenol. -blm Title: Re: one shot at a time Post by: Zink on November 29, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to one shot at a time, posted by thesearch on Nov 29, 2001
For me it was vodka shots chased with cola. Or cognac chased with sugared lemon slices. The people I was with said never mix your alcohols was how to avoid a hangover. The worst was one group of guys I drank with that chased their shots with potato chips. Fruit or something else to drink was a lot better. But at the clubs and bars I drank cocktails or beer. And at supper it was either wine or beer. But never drink after you finish eating. Only during the meal. Or so I've been told. It seemed to me that the traditions were different with each person. The important part was to drink. Title: Fledgling Bartender Bob Says... Post by: Bob S. on November 29, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Vodka recipes, posted by Cold Warrior on Nov 28, 2001
Try these Vodka drinks on for size. Your basic mixed drink is something like a "Cape Cod": Or a "Screwdriver" Or their child, the "Pink P#ssycat" Punch it up with another liqueur and you can make a "Woo Woo" To stuff into your "Fuzzy Navel" Or try a Killer "Kool Aid" Or a big red juicy "Watermelon" Get a little erotic and indulge in a little "Sex on the Beach" Of course after the Sex, you gotta finish off with an "Orgasm" In the back of your " '57 Chevy" To be your "Brain Eraser" Or maybe you'd just prefer a little "Bl0w J0b" That'll really fly your "Kamikaze" Down your "Deep Throat" Into your "Ground Zero" But if that's too much for your mouth, just toss in a "Bubble Gum" If you want something a little more opaque, you can try a "Mudslide" Or a "White Russian" Or even a "Russian Quaalude" Finished off with a bite of a "Candy Bar" If all that is too much, you can stick with a basic "Long Island Iced Tea" Or its left-coast alternative, the "Hollywood Tea" Or just take your pet "Bullfrog" And disappear into the eye of a "Hurricane" Title: Hey....Thanks man Post by: Cold Warrior on November 29, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Fledgling Bartender Bob Says..., posted by Bob S. on Nov 29, 2001
