Title: halloween Post by: Stan B on November 01, 2001, 05:00:00 AM Well Katya had her 1st Halloween & loved it. She was Snow White and really looked good. We started out by going to the town of Lahaina, where they block off the center of town and have what is probably the world's largest Halloween party. Even on this 'off' year, at least 25,000 people attended. It all starts out w/ a childrens costume parade down Front street. They're were 300 or 400 children and several dozen dressed parents, and her eyes were as big as saucers. She took the parade very seriously and waved to the crowd watching, but not smiling, instead w/ a very serious, almost regal air about her. It was a riot. Of course there are a couple thousand people watching, as the sidewalks are jammed with people and the restaurants & bars are packed. We spent around 2 hrs there and after the parade on the walk back Katya got and had her pic taken w/ all sorts of different characters. After that we went of to a friends of ours & went trick or treating w/ them. Katya got the hang of it and had a blast collecting her favorite thing, candy. She lasted another hr and a 1/2 and then it was the grown-ups turn. My friends sister is the co-owner of a real nice restaurant here, so thus we never saw a check after having a bunch of apps. & drinks. Needless to say we all thought it was a great day.
