Title: SwissAir and Sabena! Post by: BrianC on November 06, 2001, 05:00:00 AM To all you international travelers, you might want to verify that you are not flying Sabena, or SwissAir. Sabena has suspened flights, and I believe that SwissAir will be not far behind. Make sure your travels do not utilize these two companies for the near future. If you have booked on Sabena and paid by credit card, contact the credit card company and put in a claim form for a dispute of the monies paid. From what I have gathered no other airline will be accepting the Sabena ticket due to the bankruptcy filed.

There are several other international airlines in financial trouble. I will suggest flights limited to British Airways; Lufthansa and SAS Scandinavian Airlines. We have no way of knowing who will be the next but these three are sold airlines. They have published fares which are much higher but seats at a discount can be obtained through a consolidator by an agent. Mark |
