Title: I-134 Post by: LP on October 28, 2001, 04:00:00 AM Once and for all.....Is the I 134 still needed or not?
I have heard the embassy no longer requires it at the interview. Whats the true scoop? And is this for both Moscow and Warsaw? Title: Re: I-134 Post by: JohnG on October 28, 2001, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to I-134, posted by LP on Oct 28, 2001
The best information available is on Doc Steen and Alvena's website, which you probably already know: http://www.mindspring.com/~docsteen/visainfo/visainfo.htm and the Moscow embassy's website itself: http://www.usembassy.state.gov/posts/rs1/wwwhci4.html No, the I-134 is not needed in Moscow. However, other embassies still require it. You will have to check with the embassy you will be dealing with. Title: Thanks John.... ....I know these sites. I have also heard this from recent interviews. Can anybody else confirm this first hand? What about Warsaw? It wasn't for me, I met a guy who charges people $500 to process K1 docs *only* up until the NOA (He's not a lawyer), and he seemed unaware of recent changes. Been doing it for years, says he's never had a rejection and claims he has more business than he can handle. He also get's $125 to supply guys with "visa trip kits" consisting of the G-325 Bio, I-129 and other readily available forms. Man! What a racket, there's one born every minute. FWIW, this guy married a R/W six years ago when she was here on a business visa. Well, it has recently blown up on him and he's now involved in a divorce. He stated she came, got a good job, slowly became "Americanized" and that was that. Took six years though. Yikes... Now he's heading over to Moscow in December on his *first* visit ever to the FSU. Funny, he had six years of what you all aim for and he never set foot over there. Strange business this. Title: Re: Thanks John.... It is NOT REQUIRED in Moscow, however, to be on a safe side, it's RECOMMENDED to have it. Just in case... |
