Title: Got the green card! Post by: amerikanka99 on October 20, 2001, 04:00:00 AM My husband applied for his Green Card on May 29th, and we got it this week in the mail. I guess thing are moving along in Detroit.
I haven't been around here in a while, but I hope you guys are doing well in your searches, or with the women you have found. We are really happy, and we wish the same for all of you. Americanka 1, did your husband apply for his permanent residency on May 29 or conditional? It seems to fast to conditional and too slow for permanent (you only have 3 months) I live in Detroit as well and very interested in your experience. Thanks, Olga Title: Re: Re: Got the green card! He got his conditional PR green card. Good for 2 years. He adjusted from K1 after our May 27th wedding. We went in person to the Detroit office on May 29th, and he had his interview that day, and got the stamp that day. Title: Congrats! but not yet. we have both been working tons lately, trying to get started together in real estate in B'ham/Bloomfield area. Not too much free time at the moment--which is why I haven't been reading the board any more. We have heard a lot about RW adjusting to life in the US. It would be interesting to learn how a RM/UM is getting along. Title: Splendid ! Post by: tfcrew on October 20, 2001, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to Got the green card!, posted by amerikanka99 on Oct 20, 2001
A long wait. It makes residency more "official" and lends the ability to travel if need be. Good luck in the future...... Karl |
