Hello fellas, I know that this thread has been beaten to death, but was just curious to know if anyone has heard of this program?

I am currently wrapping up my first semester of Spanish in school, getting a pretty good foundation, and now was looking to learn something more in an independent manner.

I have not used Rocket Spanish, but I did just go to the website and listen to the free exampleof their method.

I have been learning Spanish with Pimsleur, and I think that the Pimsleur method would be a little easier than the method they are using in Rocket Spanish, althought it seems similar.  Rocket Spanish seems to be giving you a sentence in spanish, then repeating it and explaining it in English.  I think this will probably be more difficult than Pimsleur.  In Pimsleur, they introduce only one word at a time, and then they tell you what to say in English and have you speak it in spanish. They follow up in spanish so you get the pronuciation.  Then they put the new word into pharases with the other words you have leared, so you learn it in context.

I am amazed what I have leared with Pimsleur.  It is not usually difficult, but it does require focused concentration and participation on the lesson.   Sometimes, If I have difficulty with a lesson, I will repeat it later that day.  This has helped alot with being able to keep up more easily.

I don't know if Pimsleur has a free example to listen to, but If they do, give it a listen, and compare the two and see what you think would work better.

Good luck.
