Title: Beatriz mother Post by: Pete E on November 10, 2005, 05:00:00 AM Seems another misunderstanding.Beatriz actually drew me a picture of the heart, said half was getting no oxegen, the other half very little. On that I presumed death in 2 days or so.But today I see a diagram the hostpital did.Seems the blockage is 40% to 95% depending on where in the heart,so all her heart is getting some blood. She COULD die soon but she could live months.Even with a diagram and numbers a misunderstanding. But its good news.Mamma and her sister were so happy to go to Lago Calima for a day,not stay over.I get my 94 Honda Accord today,$8500.I hope to take her there for overnight and also places like the coffee plantation near Manizales.

Pete, What you are doing for this woman is really special, given what you have experienced with your own health over the past months.. You are allowing her some dignity with her familia before she passes, and that is indeed irreplaceable. I don`t know her medical history, but is sounds like her heart has a ejection fraction of about oh,25 to 30% or so.. I am sure she has a portable oxygen cannister when she is travelling, right? I hope this goes well for you,but it is indeed tough to see someone`s loved one die slowly.. You just have to savor every moment that you can and enjoy.. God Bless, Paul Title: Re: Re: Beatriz mother Post by: Pete E on November 13, 2005, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: Beatriz mother, posted by sacajundude on Nov 13, 2005

Let's hope she lives for months, if not years. Title: Re: Beatriz mother Post by: Georgina on November 10, 2005, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Beatriz mother, posted by Pete E on Nov 10, 2005
You're sweet. Taking her for a little scenic drive will make her feel a little better at least for the day. Usually people don't have enough money or a car to go on field trips like people do here. I remember when my mother visited me. She really enjoyed the car trips even the ones to the grocery store or the mall. One of her favorites that she always remembers was going to the Ocean Shore in the winter time and having pizza on the beach.
