I was just looking through the profiles of the women listed with the latinlove.net website and noticed that 9 out of 10 of them are under 5'3" tall (1.60 m).  I know that latin women tend to be shorter, but I am wondering if this is particularly true of the women in Cali.  Being over 6 feet tall myself, I tend to be attracted to women who are taller than 5'8" (1.75 m).
I have heard that the women in Medellin tend to be taller.  My question is whether anyone has any personal knowledge on the subject.  Are there any regions or cities where the women tend to be taller?  Does anyone know about the height of women in other latin countries like Argentina and Brazil?

Calcium poor makes one short for sure.

I read something a few years ago about the need for a revamping of the Japanese subway cars as the current generation of youth are tending to be taller than prior generations.  Better economy, better diet, taller people.  I did a quick search and found a mention of this on one site:

"...in the last 50 years, the average height of japanese people has increased 6 inches, such that many younger japanese are taller than the doorway on subway trains. these increases have been the result of an improved diet, which still leaves japanese shorter on average than whites and/or blacks. 50 years ago there existed a genetic potential for height that was never fully realized due to poverty and a poor diet. despite having reached their approximate genetic potential for height, japanese are still well below the average of blacks and/or whites."

I suspect the same problem applies to women in many LA countries (or cities).  I've noticed very few dairy products (aside from eggs) in Peruvian food markets.  In fact, their milk is sold off-the-shelf in unrefrigerated cartons; some sort of preserved version of milk.

I went to Medellin 5 years ago as part of a trip to Cartagena.  One of my STRONGEST impressions was how SHORT the women of Medellin were.  The men were short too.  I am 6'4" and even wearing the 3-4 " inch high platform shoes that were popular then the women were only reaching to my armpits.

I found a much wider variety of female height in both Cartagena and Cali.  That means many women were 5'7" and taller.  My experience in Brazil is that there is also a wide variety of female height there.  

N.B. Just because there are numerous women of 5'7" or taller doesn't mean that the average height is that tall.  My impression is that the average height is around 5'3"-5'4" in all SA countries.

i found the girls in Medellin tend to be taller than the girls from Cali, definately more than from barranquilla.

I would say that the women in Medellin do tend to be more European in look and taller as well.

I agree with UC and find the women to be taller in Medellin as compared to Bogota. An added plus is that they have much longer hair in the city of eternal spring.

If you want some really tall women, I would give Argentina a close look.  I saw many women approaching 6 feet.  Too bad I only have two left ones.
