Title: Okieman.. have you tried Pimsleur yet? Post by: Canadaman on September 26, 2005, 04:00:00 AM Okieman,
Have you tried Pimsleur Spanish learning cd's yet ? They are great. You can play them and practice talking in the car. I just got Pimsleur Fast and Easy - 15 Lessons If you are interested I can arrange to send you some of the Spanish course or arrange you to download some ... I think this will really help you. You can then burn cd's and listen to them in your car and practice speaking spanish with them Senor Okieman. Jeff I love them.. Title: Re: Okieman.. have you tried Pimsleur yet? I have checked out the Pinsleur course (spanish), however, I found the Penton Overseas "Learn in your Car - Spanish" and "Vocabulearn" to be great, less expensive, and cover everything from basics (level 1) to advanced (3), and lots of examples, and practice... Check it out... am planning to order Learn in your car - Ingles for my colombiana friend. Title: Re: Re: Okieman.. have you tried Pimsleur yet? Ricardo, Where did you see the course you mentioned? I have a small one I bought last year that has 8 CDs on it. It is called Spanish Total Immersion by Topics Entertainment. I don't know how it stacks up against these others. I have tried to learn from that and my Spanish/English Dictionary, but so far it is slow going. So, I am still considering other options. OKM, you can get the individual levels for both courses, ie. Learn In Your Car (more of a language learning course) and Vocabulearn (just vocab, not meant to teach you grammar, etc, but if you have a fair to good base it's excellent for improving ... vocab - nouns, verbs, adv., adj, short expressions). as i said, you can get level I, II, III individually or buy the whole enchilada (sp?) I think its 24 CDs for about $80 ... by far the least expensive, and I think one of the best ive seen, just do a search for "penton overseas" and follow the links!! Good Luck Title: Re: Re: Re: Re: Okieman.. have you tried Pimsleur yet? I also mentioned to Okieman before the benefits of using the Pimsleur Program....I used it to learn my basic Spanish as well. Yes...you can find it free on illegal download sites...but I just it new on Amazon.com...while the first months program is expensive (about 225) I turned around and sold it used on Amazon and got back about 80 percent of my money. Its an excellent progam Okie....and since you have expressed many times how hard it is for you to learn the language....maybe you should try it!!!!!
