So,  day 4, I hit the beach Santa Veronica - one hour  Sur of BQ.  Nice.  Not like santa marta, San Andreas etc, but not bad for COLOMBIA.   Day 5 uneventful, spent the day in BQ,  not a whole hell of a lot happening there duringthe week. day six off to santa marta,  hit the 4 star Tamaca.  Ordered wine glasses and ice.  Ice came with two plastic cups.  Sent em back.  Told em I wanted "wine glasses" (brought my own bottle).  They bring regular glasses.  I head to the bar and finally get the wine glasses.  4 star? Not - toilet seat wont even stay up.  Decide on another hotel  on the beach worked ot fine.  When its not high season you can arrive w/o reservations.  
Returned to BQ and purchased her ring at B/ Vista, better than Country Plaza (trust me).  last few days chillin with her and her son and family.  I declined staying at her pad.  I cant sleep with a fan-its gotta be cold (AC) for me to crash.  When I retunred he Visa had already be approved.  so another 2 weeks before I here from the powers that be.   I think I'll head to Bogota to be with her for the interview in ( I think 8 weeks)

Congratulations, sounds like a successful venture!

You mentioned "the ring", but you didn't mention the proposal (in this post)... was there a previous proposal with no ring, or a temporary ring?

How much did you spend, and/or what range should one expect to spend at Buena Vista for a ring?

Did she accompany you to pick out the ring, or was it a surprise?

Well,  as you might guess theres no guarntee she ll like the US.  we decided to let her come here on the K1 and see what she and I thinks.  The ring is for compromiso/engagement (promisary).  Gold w/Emeralds - I took her to pick it out.  I plan to get a better one later, this one under  $300.  Im taking things slowww.
