I am not going to put my ass on the line if the forums are not going to cover my back. WTF do I have to gain?? I am not going to tell Patrick and such how they run the show, but here is what I would like to see happen:

1. Let the agency complain only to Patrick/Hoda/DS if they feel a post is slanderous and let those in power decide to delete such posts

2. Make the agencies sign an agreement not to take legal action against the forums or the participants or not be allowed to continue to post and have their agencies removed from any Agency Lists denying them any future referals. This agreement should be posted online

3. The forums need to agree to do their best to protect those that posts against legal actions from the Agencies

Sorry if you disagree but how anyone thinks we should continue to post if the forums are not going to help cover our asses is crazy in my book.

Hi Papi - You aren't going anywhere, this is probably the highlight of your life posting on this board based on the number of posts I have seen.  You enjoy blasting the agencies and promoting your friends. You have written so many negative posts about agencies I don't believe that anyone would find a need to threaten you as  most guys on this board don't take you seriously.  Whats even more ridiculous is you telling us that you fear a lawsuit.  No one is going to waste time and money in a lawsuit where the only winners are- as always - the attorney's.  

I have sat back and read so many of your posts that were filled with bad information and advice and not once did I consider a lawsuit because every once in a while you post something that is brilliant and informative.  

I have been finding good wives for good men since 1990 in Colombia and I believe the agencies are responsible for bringing  the majority of guys to Colombia- particularly the successful guys.  I resent all the unwarranted  negative references to agencies and once again remind you that we were here first.

i like the brilliant and informative part. i was a client of yours too - not too smart to blast an ex-client. Remember, i meet lots of guys in my travels - if they ask me about Bogota my first thought would not be BogJim. Funny, how most guys on the board recommend Nelson. i wonder why? You still charging double the cost of the hotel??

The last time I was in Bogota for the July 4th parties I had 25 guys staying with us  and the agency you refer all your buddies had  had 3 and 2 of those were castoffs from LLM - ever wonder why?  Continute to send the guys you meet in the malls to my competitors because thats where they belong- we cater to winners- you know educated guys who want to marry - not guys who want to bang 18 year old girls they find in the malls.

Are you serious Papi? You want the forum owner to protect you from some dumb ass agency owner?

I’m sorry but it is NOT the responsibility of the forum owner to back up your opinions and remarks. Good God man! Take responsibility for your own comments! If you are expressing your OPINIONS based on your own experiences, then nobody is going to sue you and you don’t need to wimp out at the mere mention of attorneys and law suits. Just tell them to stick it where the sun don’t shine.

Now be a man and expose this agency owner right here and right now. When folks hear that agency owners are threatening customers or potential customers with law suits and such, that business is as good as dead.

Time to shit or get off the pot Papi…

Papi,

They are trying to silence you through intimidation and you obviously have been intimidated.

Quit whining for the forum owner to protect your right to free speech. Stand up like an American and protect yourself!

If you want to stop this kind of intimidation, the best way is not to ban agencies from posting. The best thing you can do is to post a copy of the threatening e-mail/letter for all the world to see and let the agency owner suffer the consequences.

Now are you going to hide under your bed and whimper like a scared child or are you going to throw it back in their faces like a man would do?

By holding the forum responsible , you are not better then the agency in question. Grow up. Maybe if you were a man  you would have actually been able to succeed in your biz venture rather then run when things didnot work the way you had planned.

Funny stuff.  As long as forum posters remain naive as to how unsuccessfully such suits would turn out, agency owners/operators can intimidate you into "hushing up."

Good luck, agency dudes!  Opinions in a forum are RUBBISH in court.  And y'all know it.

It's nothing more than an urban myth designed to counter shoddy service.

Doombug, I am no attorney and tend to agree with your assessment but feel the forums have to take some responsibility with regards to this matter, at the very least discipline the agencies that contact posters directly.

Hello Papi,  
I intend to give a detailed report of Cali-Vip on my upcoming trip.  Hopefully it will be good but even if it is scathing the report will still be an honest opinion.  I am not concerned about any legal action. I expect no protection from the forum.  Business owners may be upset and do whatever they think they must to protect their interests.  Posting here is a risk. Becoming a shut-in is less of a risk but I enjoy reading your posts and posting myself so I would hope you would settle down and consider all your options and take never posting again off the table.

You are being intimidated with alot of hot air.  If you stick to either opinions or the true facts of what happened, you haven't done anything other than exercise your right to free speech.  Where are they going to sue .. Colombia or US?  Do you have any assets in Colombia.  Are they going to pay a lawyer $200 an hour to bring a case they can't win in the United States?  Please tell your story and call their bluff.

I am not being intimated and have no problem exposing the agency - however, I agreed to a truce and will stick to that as the agency in question wrote back later with some kind words. However, I also feel the forums need to do more on our behalf. Thus I am departing unless I hear back from them with something concrete. I have nothing to gain by exposing myself if the forums are going to sit back and do nothing. Adios Amigo

When I joined this board in 2001, in my very first post I exposed a career scammer who cheated me in Cali.  I was immediately ganged up on by the posters of PL led by PL's lead attack dog at that time ... Hoda.  Nobody backed me up and I don't care.  As a result of that experience,  I subsequently decided to change my name to "valuedcustomer".  This summarized my feelings that customer's should be valued and treated with respect.  Realistically, the only way to have someone "on your side" is for the customers to have their own independent website which doesn't accept financial compensation of any kind directly or indirectly from any agency.  The best you can hope for here, is that you are allowed to tell your story without being censored.  Good-luck .. whatever you decide.

VC, it is my feelings the forums need to do something, at the very least ban the agency and delete them from the listing rather than sit back and do nothing. I am not going to participate in the forums without them getting involved in this matter. Most others may disagree - this is my position. suerte

I've been threated with crap like that for simply being honest back when I was a fight promoter. I NEVER got sued. On the other hand one guy DID make some slanderous statement about me even put them on VIDEOTAPE (Fightworld.com) & I wound up SUING HIM instead. What a loser. Anyways Papi I'd stick to my guns on this one.
