Hi guy's,,i have been getting a lot of email's,about buisness
there.First,you need to have a good lawyer.Me and my friends story.The guy
we bought the place from,was a young colombian guy.He wanted 2 money
wire's,to 2 different country's,to 2 different names.                                                                                
kind of strange.It was a problem.Beside's,,just to wire money,to your owen
account,in colombia,you need to prove,,were you got the money,bank
statments,i.r.s,forms.Its your money,,,,,so,why all of this.Well,its
colombia.So,you need a good lawyer.With out steve from colombian
sweethearts help,this would not have gone smooth.His lawyer,took care of us
big time.She,become's a friend.She looks after you,not just for buisness,but
anything you do in colombia.You become family.And i think,thats why we all
love colombia.Steve has been there and done this allready,so he no's the rite
way to do it.And,he has helped us 100%.And we will need his help,in what
ever we are doing,while we are there.And i no,he will help any of you
guy's,what ever you want to do.Just ask him.We had both made some
comments that were not true,before checking the information.But,everything
worked out.So,have a good lawyer,and talk to steve.He know's the rite
people.

Mike,
I agree,you need a good Colombian lawyer you can trust to do any business here.
Question.It seems you very quickly decided to buy or start a business in Colombia.Making money here is a tough one that few gringos have ever accomplished.
Do you really think you are Colombian savy enough already to be doing this?Do you think you have anticipated all,or even alot of the things that can go wrong?
You're not in Kansas anymore here,or Chicago.

Pete is unbiased and knows the show, these people down here are educated, smart, and do not like gringos in competition with them, particularly in their own country.

Hi pete.We are talking about a very,very, small amount of
money.It's nothing.Some of us guy's,spend more on vactions in 1
year.If it works great.If not,so be it.It's something to do.Thats all.Im

Just wondering because when we type fast we have a lot of typos/mistakes. You have a LOT dude. No offense. Also about this Steve guy you state you "BOTH made some commentes that WERE NOT TRUE". Sorry but that just doesn't sound right. NOw it sounds like you are trying to CYA to avoid problems. I don't know but this guy & his agency sound like they have some serious problems. I had no plans of going to Medellins whatsoever but I tell if I DID go there I for sure would NOT be using that agency. Why bother with someone who has 2 different ex CLIENTS on here "threatened" with legal action & 1 recenting his side of the story. Sound like too many problems for something that should be very straightforward business wise. CAVEAT EMPTOR.

Frank, you are right. I was suspicious of why the above poster changed his tune.  Maybe Steve/CSH has learned from this sorry matter.  Otherwise, he does have one of the most professional agencies in Latin America.  If he apologized to me on the forums I would once again recommend his agency.  Medellin is a beautiful city with the best looking women in Colombia and he is the only game in town.  Most guys don’t have a problem with him although I do know of others that have.  He does need to chill greatly with his clients and competitive concerns – and then he would have a first class agency.  Super potential and we all make mistakes.  I hope Steve/CSH is a big  enough man to admit his mistakes like threatening to sue ex-clients. Steve, an apology here would be great. Otherwise, I can email you my address if you still want to sue me

I hung with you in MDE and know you to be a good guy, but DUDE. you got to quit bashing agencys so muho. I went to the archives and you have takn on just about every agency in colombia

I know you had a bad experience with your girl in MDE , and you should have chosen Alajandra(MHO) , but things that bug you about a certain agency , do not always bug somebody else.
My experiance with CSH was just fin, but i am not super picky and tendo to go with the flow and i do nto expect the INTERCONTINENTAL when i travel, nor do i pay the prices either. I stayed i a great apartment that Steve hooked me up with in MDE, breafast and snacks for 30 Bucks a night, cannot beat that. Now was it elagent, no, but quite frankly i do not want a colombian woman to think i got bucks, i want her to see me as a normal guy just like any other guy, just my style.

A half ass appollogy , so what, it is more then most people get anywhere. My friend Luis(WINDYCITY) had a problema with a few things at CSH , and Steve called him personaly to fix the problem, all the way back to Chicago, But Luis never ranted and raved nor busted him in a forum, he kept it private and got a proper appology because he gave the complaint its proper tone

Chill out papi , drink a beer and quit worrying so much abouit the hotel room, you are not going to colombia to get a great hotel.

You are a good dude, and we will hang again i am sure, but i counted 15 posts in the archives where you had problemas with 4 different agenys. Come on man, relax !!

Yes, and IMHO, jamies agency is one of the worst. i have met sevel men in cartagena that plopped down 1500 bucks with him and got pretty much nothing out of the deal, but i could care less, its his agency, my point is, you have like his agency and i do not, yet i like steves agency and you do not, you see my point here ????????

Things you think are bad, service , ecetera, others think are perfectly fine. So this is my point.

I just read your reply to CSH post about the Avianca Air Pass, and you still had to get your dig in at him, ENOUGH STEVE, ENOUGH

KB, you dont get it with respect to CSH but I am not going to belabor it..lets just say he crossed the line. And Jamie does not suck. He staff is very professional, more so than most and he does offer a more affordable cita option.

Perhaps you should point out that you sent e-mail to at least some of the ladies in Steve's agency announcing your new agency and asking them to tell all their friends.  Isn't that actually the problem Steve has with you?  Me thinks Papi is spinning the facts to support his own interpretation of things.

Kiltboy, I do not recall complaining about the bed or the room – maybe the rooster.  I think you are missing the point of my issues with said agency, but I am not going to belabor it.  I will tell you this, I have recommended several agencies including the one in question on prior occasions and sent him 4 guys that pulled the trigger on his agency.  I put Frank in touch with Nelson at LAI, I have talked to several guys I have met in my travels who are not on the forums about meeting in Cali, I have put other friends in touch with Jamie.  So Peace Brother
