Title: Concerning South of the Border Agency, etc Post by: OkieMan on July 16, 2005, 04:00:00 AM Hi guys,
I just wanted to ask if anyone here has used the South of the Border Agency? I understand that they have an office in Cali (near Chipi Chappi Mall), but they may also have an office elsewhere, like Bogota (I am not sure). I have exchanged a few emails with the owner, Dave Davis. I guess he must be an american guy living in Cali. Forget the agencies. Just arrange to meet Pablo and tour the town. You'll see more beautiful women in 10 minutes than you would see in 10 days here. Utopiacowboy, I do intend to go to Medellin, when I can, and spend some time with Pablo. He has already been gracious enough to invite me. I look forward to seeing Medellin for myself. I just can't get away right now. Hi Okie Man! Latin Best does have terrible photos and old fashioned marketing but they also have some outstanding ladies. The reason for this is many ladies trust Luz Amparo because she has been around for about 12 years and is honest. She also has ladies who are older than 25 and some of them are quite nice. She may be in Florida now visiting her son but Maritza Bueno her assistant is also excellent. Your risk is minimal doing business with her and you just might find exactly what you are looking for. BogotaJim, Thanks for your input. Besides, I am really looking at ladies from approximately 30-40 anyhow. I am 52, but I think I am reasonably well preserved!( It's amazing what embalming fluid can do these days! ha) Right now, I am just trying to re-evaluate my strategy, so that I have better luck on my next trip.

Maritza is not Luz Amparo's assistant. She works independently with her own books, girls and website, http://www.heartsincali.com. Typically she does not work with Luz or show Latin Best girls although they share the same office at Latin Best. Maritza will run the place for Luz when she is not there. They do have seperate books but I paid Luz an amount and got to look at Maritzas books also.I think Maritza is Luz's cousin or Niece. The books and the web site is poor but if you get their attention they will give you good service, but might tend to forget about you when you are not at the house. They tend to know the girls pretty well. Maritza is married to Luz's brother so I guess they are sisters-in-laws. Title: Re: Concerning South of the Border Agency, etc Post by: OkieMan on July 16, 2005, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to Concerning South of the Border Agency, e..., posted by OkieMan on Jul 16, 2005
It would appear that so far, I have two posters that have used SOTB, but just for buying addresses. I know that both Red Clay and Michael B are now married, so you are "out of the market". I am curious if anyone has actually met any of the ladies from this agency and gone out on dates, etc? Also, I am still curious to find out if anyone here knows Dave Davis personally? Since he is an american guy, I would think that some of you other ex-pats would know him, and could give me your opinion? Just curious. I am still curious to find out more updatd info on the other agencies I mentioned in my original post, as well. No opinion just the facts. I have used SOTB agency on two different trips and meet about a dozen or so ladies on his SOTB website and two on his modeling web site. I don't believe that I ever had a no show. But if they don't show, you don't pay. It's 25 bucks to meet a SOTB girl and 50 bucks to meet with what they call a model ( a girl that let them take pictures of her in a bikini or underwear). hehehe !!! Calipro, Thanks for responding to my questions. How would you rate the ladies that you went out with? Did you meet Dave Davis? What type of guy do you think he is? How about Latin Best, have you ever used them? If so, how would you compare them to some of the other agencies? Just opinions. Dave Davis is an honest business man who does business american style. I would rate the women from a 7 to an 8 a half in the looks department and from a 5 to 6 in the marriage material department. But then again I only dated women between 19 and 23 so it's up to YOU to motivate them. A guy staying at Pete's place met what I would consider a very good looking women for 39 at SOTB and he really doesn't know what to do with her. Maybe you could help him out in. She is HIGHLY motivated from what I could see. I like Luz but there hasn't been anything in her agency that I wanted to dated in years. "I like Luz but there hasn't been anything in her agency that I wanted to dated in years." I guess we all have different tastes. I was there at LB April of 2002 (along with 2 other guys, one of which was Aaron lol) and picked out about 30 women to meet, all of which I considered to be attractive in photo, educated etc.. I met my wife on my 2nd cita there, totally lucked out. But had I not met her, I would have had no problem meeting gals for weeks as it was a totally new group of women from what I'd met at the other agencies. CaliJames, Thanks for giving me your comments. So, do you still live in California? Where at? I have many relatives in California. How often do you get back to Cali? Take care. I used to live about 3 miles from Pete E in San jose but my wife and I bought a house that was more affordable an hour's commute away. I was in Cali for 2 months the very last time and came back to the States in January 2003. So it's been a while, I may need to change my name. lol Title: Re: Concerning South of the Border Agency, etc Post by: OkieMan on July 17, 2005, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to Concerning South of the Border Agency, e..., posted by Cali James on Jul 17, 2005
I have many relatives in the bay area. I know that some of them have moved over the years; but they used to mostly be in the San Pablo and Richmond and San Rafael areas. Back in the '90's, my Dad's 2 sisters and their husbands retired and moved to Northern California. One lives in Ukiah, and the other lives in McCloud, at the base of Mount Shasta. But, their kids( my cousins) live in the bay area. I have not lived there since '61. Plus, I also have several cousins that live in Southern California, (Lancaster and Palmdale and Bakersfield). I bought some addresses from SOTB a long time ago. They sent them to me, they were legitimate addresses, I corresponded with some of them for a while. Never used any of their other services. Same here, I bought some addresses from them back in 99, received them no problem, they were "good" addresses, I received a good ratio of replies. I also placed my own personal ad with them and received TONS of responses. |
