Title: JUST THE FACTS...
Post by: papi on June 29, 2005, 04:00:00 AM
Let me clarify some debates with respect to Colombia.  For starters, I like the place very much.  It is a beautiful country with beautiful people especially the women.  However, Colombia is still classified last I checked as a third world country with widespread poverty and struggling with a 40 year civil war.  With those problems, comes challenges with medical care, dental hygiene, crime, corruption, sanitary conditions, etc.  Again, I love the place – but anyone that wants to argue that just because your novias house is spotless there aren't issues with poor dental care or sanitary conditions in public places, etc. is smoking too much of what they grow down there

Papi,
Actually Colombia has first rate first world medical and dental care if you can afford it.Lots of locals cannot so they have to depend on a public system that is not very good.I actaully recommend Colombia highly for medical and dental care if you have no good US insurance or want treatments yout insurance will not pay for.Its like 10-20% of US costs but still too expensive for alot of Colombians. One of my friends came here for lasix surgury about 9 years ago because at the time there was better equipment used here that was not yet approved for use in the US.
Sanitary conditions? No problem where I hang out,but I immagine its there,it IS a poor country.
The women? What we are really talking about here.Attractive, femine, obsessed with their appearance and AVAILABLE to an average guy.AND HUGE NUMBERS to choose from.
You want no poverty  or poor conditions, there is less in the US.But we know thats a total loser for women.
So take the rest with Colombia, none of it has been a problem for me.And yes,low incomes and lack of opportunity is a big factor in these women looking for gringos.Comes with the territory, actually makes it what it is.
Which is,in my opinion, the number one place on the planet for a guy to search for women. There is not even a close second, and the would not be Panama, probably Peru.
HOWEVER,Panama could be a good place to live because you can take your Colombiana with you.One off my friends lived there 3 months last winter,Panama City.He didn't like it and thought it very expensive. He went because his wife still doesn't have her visa and her sister lived there. His first choice to winter,Mexico,Cosumel Area. But he couldn't get his Colombiana a visa to Mexico intill she gets her spousal visa to Canada.

Really Pete, when i addressed the subject earlir it was more about meeting several women with a totally hot bod, great face, nice hair and totally f..d up teeth. But that is correctable just like guys pop for the enhancements elsewhere. Me, I am more into A then T, dont like fake balloons...and of course like a nice smile :)

You know, I was hoping you were going to open a full service agency in either Peru or Brazil. Both places are just waiting for a good agency, similar to the ones in Colombia, and I think a lot of clients are looking for newer markets that don’t have the reputation of scammers or not so honest girls, such as Colombia. Brazil with 180 million people seems like the place to go, and they definitely have the reputation for hot women. I don’t think you would have a problem getting clients to go to Brazil.

"I don't think you would have a problem getting clients to go to Brazil."

More restrictive entry requirements, and having to learn an even less familiar language, are substantial hurdles.

I suggest sticking with those regions where the cattle PREFER to graze.

There may be lots of competition in some of these markets, but all it takes is one amazing approach/concept to sidetrack these clones.

Bust a move, yo!

Papi

I have to agree with some of the others

The Colombian women i have dated(some 200+ now), most have had a smile that most women would kill for and that is because VANITY is insane in Colombia. It has to be because the girls have so much competition

Hygene
Well, some of the best smelling women i have ever UH, SMELLED ,  have been from Colombia

I have to respectfully disagree with you

Wingman, remember my ex? - she had braces and so did her sister. many others i have dated did too. I never see that in the US. By the way, her teeth look great now - I also got her "lunars" removed which are also prevalent down there. too bad she dumped me - she looks great.

BT, it killed me to meet a woman with a smokin body, nice hair, pretty face and f..d up teeth. I have seen that a lot down there. You will also see a much greater % of adult women with braces because the family did not have the money or dental care when they were young. I have dated several women in Colombia with braces.  Off to Panama - I can give you a report on the dental care in Panama when I return. Just the Facts - and a nice smile

Papi, you forget one thing about business/sales.  Facts are great but PERCEPTION is BETTER.  While Panama may have it's PLUSES, for a business that is trying to "LURE" Men fr US and their wallets, your potential customer looks at one main thing, hot women!  Prague, known for hotties, Eastern Europe known for hotties, Thailand, Sweden, France, Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, Costa Rica, COL known for hotties.  Even Mexico and Peru to an extent.  But Belize, Hondorus, Nicagragua, Panama are NOT known for hotties.  When was the last time a women from Panama won Ms. Universe?  While i'm sure they're lots there, but it NOT known as a destination for hotties.

Plus Panama is small, anywhere you want to go outside panama city you have to fly to another country.  That means the hassle of immigration and international flights.  While a country(ie, Peru, Brazil, COL, VEZ, etc.,) that is bigger there stuff to do OUTSIDE of one city, so if you can take off to another city VERY easily, fly from Cali to CTG, Lima to Cusco, Rio to San Paulo, etc.,  Panama is known for the 1) Canal and 2) business hub.  It's doesn't even have a WELL KNOWN single sex scene(ala Costa Rica, CTG, Prague, etc.,).  It's not KNOWN as a resort/vacation destination ala Cancun, aruba, etc.,  THat means guys will fly down JUST for the event.  But if you look at some advertisement for other places(CTG, Lima, etc.,) they sell the tourist stuff beyond meeting girls.  I remember reading about on agency in Medellin and the advertise tourist trips around the city to the different places.

COL MAIN drawback is the security PERCEPTION and inconvence that it brings.  If COL ever gets it's security problem resolve, guys will FLOCK to COL.  Look at Peru, Peru had similar security problems 10 years ago, but now tons of tourist(including many single guys).  Americans would love to go to Venezuela but now with Chavez, the PERCEPTION is it's not safe for americans.

Title: Clean but not so clean

From what I have seen most Colombian women take great pride in being extra clean. That is not to say their living environment is clean.  Nor does it appear Colombians care about beautification there is eye pollution everywhere. Public bathrooms often do not have soap and paper towels. I’ve been to clubs where the men’s bathroom was just a hole and the woman’s bathroom was just a bench. The good thing is with the heat and humidly and ensuing sweat you don’t need to use the bathroom :) In one month I’ve seen more people going the bathroom out in public than I have my whole life in the States and I’m including camping and hiking trips :) You can imagine how filthy things are towards the end of the 5 month dry season.  But the women themselves are kissably clean.

Let me clarify - first world countries have higher standards, laws and regulations whether you like them or not to help reduce the problems we are discussing, even a simple thing like requiring soap in a restaurant restroom.  I will give you an example Hoda.  I was traveling recently with a well-known member of the forum in a 2nd world country.  Well, he ate something that did not agree with him and we were at a major public university.  We searched several restrooms and could not find toilet paper – one of the simplest form of hygiene.  Finally, I flagged down a janitor and "saved" my friend from using the daily newspaper.  But I wonder if the cook in the kitchen bothered to do so after his break.  I hate to break this to you Sir Hoda, but while your novias house may be spotless that is not the case in much of Latin America. Just the Facts - not mad. As a side note, go search my alma mater - Michigan State University and I bet every toilet has paper

Go to the local stop and shop I bet they have little if no toilet paper plus it
looks like they forgot the bathroom needs to be cleaned at least once a week.
There is many places here in the U.S. that I am afraid to even enter their
bathroom due to it being a fithy, dirty pit. It is the same every where.

Fuzzy, yes, but it is much better here.  Plus restaurants can get fined if they don’t comply and most have soap and signage for the employees to wash up afterwards due to tougher laws and regs.  Do you know how Hepatitis A is passed?  In part by food handlers having poop on their hands.  I can ensure you Hep A is higher in the third world. But the initial thread started cause I like a women with a nice smile and it degraded into s..t from there

you took the words right out of my mouth!!  Try stopping at a McDonald's, Waffle House, or like you said a 7-11 to take a dump...only in a dire emergency...

In most decent restaurants (and nicer restaurants) in Colombia, I have always found the restrooms to be very clean...and the majority have Listerine dispensers that you can use to gargle with after dinner...NEVER see that in the U.S.
