Title: trip update Post by: kidwonder on June 26, 2005, 04:00:00 AM I joined amigos.com to try and meet a lady or two before traveling to Barranquilla this week and about 10 days ago a chilean woman living in Miami wrote to me. I have talked with her each night on MSN Messenger and called her once. I am doing well with my spanish and it is getting better each day. She is so beautiful and seems very sincere and just what I had hoped to find on my trip to Colombia. So I have cancelled my trip to Barranquilla and instead I am staying in Miami to get to know her better in person. I know how everyone advises to meet several ladies and that was my intention but I just have a feeling about this woman that I can't describe. Hopefully things will turn out well. Thanks for all the advice on this board.

Just make sure she is not having an immigration problem here and confirm it by looking at her papers. I met my beautiful fiance in the Dominican Republic the same way -- amigos.com. I got to know her via email over 3 months before travelling there though. I had a good feeling about her, I was right. Go with your feelings, but be cautious. GOOD LUCK!!! |
