Yogi,

There are women here who are also looking overseas for a husband or who are married to Asian men. Do you have a problem with that? Just curious.

To have somebody to pick on.  Remember, caring, sensitive, compassionate heterosexual males, yearning for love and affection, are less than human.

yogi,

What can you see first-hand in San Diego that you can't see anywhere else, unless you mean watching the Chargers get their arses kicked week in and week out :-)

That's OK, the Chargers are my team too (shhhhhhh! Don’t tell anyone). But they did accomplish their #1 goal this season (1st draft pick) :-)

If you're looking for a nice Filipina, there are tons of them right here in San Diego, if you don't mind a little excess baggage. Hey, they already have a Green Card or US Citizenship, so you're that much farther ahead to start with. And most of them are not fully Americanized (yet).

They're everywhere! I see a lot of single (divorced?) Filipinas in the stores and malls and in church. My dentist is a Filipina and she is definitely a solid 9.

There is a little strip mall in National City called Grove Plaza, on Plaza Blvd. It's almost like being in the Philippines, except there are no jeepneys or tricycles.

I don’t gamble, but I’m told that there are a lot of Filipinas playing bingo and the slots at the Indian casinos (Barona, Sycuan, Viejas).

If you like to dance, you could try the Trophy Lounge in National City but a better choice would be the Honey-Ko on Palm Ave in Imperial Beach. On any Friday or Saturday night, the place is crawling with single Filipinas.

Good advice Jay! Thanks. I forgot to warn him about that one.

WESTPAC Widow:  A Navy wife who’s husband is out at sea (Western Pacific cruise). Sometimes like to go out and party with their fellow widows while hubby is away.

Hi Ray,

Heard about 'em from a friend. He told me horror stories. He was in the Navy in San Diego in the late 80's there. I would imagine thing's are a bit different now.

That was when the bases were still open in the RP, of course. Said there was hundred's of Olongapo girl's living in S.D. at the time.

Is it true that you can get a real San miguel Beer or Red
Horse in Filipino owned bar's around there?

Not that I'm interested, of course! :>

yogi,

Let us know how you make out. We'll expect a "trip report" Monday morning (ROFL).

If you stop by the Honey-Ko, say hi to Jackie & Norma behind the bar. Jackie is the one with the largest breast implants and Norma is the one with the looooooooong legs.

Also, sometimes you'll find a lot of Filipinas down the street from the Honey-Ko at Rasalie's Bamboo Inn, doing their Karaoke thing.

Ray,
Are you sure these girls are the typical "Traditional" family oriented conservative types?   :)   Don't want to mislead ol Yogi here!

Steve,

Who said anything about traditional?? I think I said nice with a little excess baggage.

Hey, it's all a trade off. At least you don't have to deal with plane fares, passports, visas, jet lag, Lapulapu's revenge, etc.  :-)
