Polite way of saying boob job.
A friend of mine who can't post right now has a question. He and his wife  saw a surgeon in Cali, the price was $3200.That sounded high to him and to me.
Anybody out there have any recomendations? It seems to me guys with better reputations charge more and you wouldn't want it screwed up.
I had heard $1200.
While we are at it how about other surjuries? Lipo? Face lifts?
Pros,cons,costs?

Pete

I had $4500 of dental work done in CR which would have rune over $30,000 in the US.  I'm going for a crown in three weeks which costs $1800 in the US and $400 in CR.

I have found dental work runs 1/5 to 1/7 of US prices and is just as good.  The doctors / dentists in LA got in school based on academic merit and their parents ability to pay was not a factor.  They graduated with a government subsudized educaion and without six figures of debt.  (or barely four figures).  '

The don't have to worry about malpractice lawsuits or run their office like a business.  All they concentrate on is patient care.  I prefer my CR dentist for quality than my US dentist.  He's a nice guy, but he is so busy he hardly knows my name.

The cost in Colombia should be one fifth or less than US costs or it is too high and if you can get to know the practicioner (talk to him or her and ask questions), you should be able to chose someone who will do quality work.

Actually the nose job was for my novia at the time. I didn't think she needed it. I thought she looked better prior to the surgery but whatever. No fault of the surgeon.

Hi Zack,

I assumed it was for your ex-novia.  I just couldn't resist and poke fun at you using the name "Zacko" as it reminded me of the real weirdo on trial now...Jacko.

Pablo,

I figured that is what you meant, but I wanted to clarify that post anyway. I got a kick out of your Zacko comment Shocked)

Glad to hear my feeble attempt at humor didn't fall on deaf ears.

BTW, since you now have one+ less grand in your wallet on a ex-novia's new nariz, wouldn't you now advise to only pay for cosmetic surgery after marriage?  I hear about some guys coughing up substantial amounts of dough for plastic surgery on their novias only to have the relationship end later and some other bloke enjoy the remodeling attempts.  Your thoughts sir?

I knew I shouldn't have brought this up Shocked)

She was my first Colombian girlfriend and I was new to this endeavor. I admit I was blinded by her beauty and did a foolish thing. It was a painful lessen learned the hard way. This is one reason why I always assert that guys should go slow and not rush into things. And yes I agree- NEVER pay for cosmetic surgery until after marriage. I don't care how sincere she seems.

Thanks Zack,

I agree with you completely!

It takes a big fellow to admit his mistakes.  Lord knows I made plenty of my own in this endeavor.  I did not mean to bring up any old wounds (pun intended) but thought it might be a worthwhile related topic to avoid someone else from making a similar mistake.

Pablo,

It isn't painful at all to talk about. A better word is embarassing. I guess I shouldn't mind talking about it since it can happen to anyone. But I still feel embarassed to admit that I did something so foolish. But yes, it is a worthwhile topic to avoid someone else from making a similar mistake.

That sounds very high. My wife had thought about getting a lift before she left Colombia but thank God she didn't. In fact I don't know why she was even considering it - her boobs are perky enough. She did have laser eye surgery on one eye before she left and that went well.

The LipoSelection procedure uses the VASER System's patented innovative ultrasound technology for fatty tissue emulsion and proprietary cannulae designed to minimize tissue trauma during aspiration. Because nerves and blood vessels are largely undisturbed, patients and physicians report low to minimal pain and bruising. Moreover, the LipoSelection procedure allows physicians to work with such precision that they can shape delicate areas like the inner thighs, arms, chin and neck.

If you are among the potential millions of individuals seeking a low-pain path to a slimmer, more youthful body, LipoSelection only by VASER could be the solution for you

Try Dr. Alvaro Arana, he's excellent, a professor at one of the med school and in private practice.  I have a friend whose wife had a lipo and butt lift, tummy tuck and boob job all at once for about 9M pesos.  She came out looking fabulous and of course now every other word out of my wife's mouth is cirugia, cirugia... -TNC
