So I decided to file visa with Vivian in August of 2000. It was approved in December of 2000 and her interview was in March 2001. The months after filing went pretty smooth. I wasn't asked for money. I did send her $250.00 for an engagement ring.. and made another trip to visit her over xmas 2000. We talked evryday on MSN messenger and usually talked on the phone several times each week. During this trip we mostly visited family and went to the malls around Manila. I also took her to a dentist because of halitosis and wanted to get the cavities fixed and price braces. I left several hundred dollars to get the top braces put on and sent 300 more to complete the job in January. We continued to chat every day and I sent her money to cover visa expenses. We were excited when the visa interview was set in late March and she passed. She was all set to fly here and I was waiting for a paycheck, so i could send flight cost. Now the crap hit the fan. After 7 months of daily communication I couldn't contact her by phone, nor was she on the internet. I called friends and family and no-one knew where she was?
However, about a week before she told me her boss wanted to send her on a trip to HONG KONG. She asked for some expense money.. I told her she should wait for these kind of trips and we could do these things together. SO.....when I couldn't make any contact with her,,,my instinct finally kicked in,,,after several days of anger and hurt,,I finally reached her,,,,she lied to me and said she went to Hong Kong,,,,then i asked her if it was with a man,,she said yes,,,,I said then its over ! I am cancelling the visa,,which I did! I told her not to call or send emails, I didn't ask for an explaination, I didn't want to hear anymore of her lies. She did send me 2 emails within a month,,saying she hoped I would forgive her,,,,,I didn't reply,,,,,GOD will judge her,,,she will answer to him and doesn't need my thoughts. Her friends told me the following scams she pulled on me and others:
1. I paid for top and bottom braces,,she only had bottoms put on....
2. When I traveled there last xmas,,I sent money to her for apartment rent for us to stay in,,,she told sunshine and berns that I was broke and asked them for money....
3. The engagement ring I bought her couldn't have cost over 50.00,,,,IT was very thin and looked more like a friendship ring....
4. She sold a bad cell phone to a girl from Davao before she went on her trip to boracay with her new friend,,,,RYAN??
5. She also asked for money from another friend's Fiancee who was in Manila at the time of the Interview......
Most of these scam items are second hand knowledge, but as a warning,,,,she is good at what she does,,,,she can talk a good game.
