A friend of mine wants to know what  tel # of INS to call to
follow-up her temp green card. She's  been here(US) almost 10
mos now and didn't recieve the temp GC yet. Was been told will
be mailed 2-6 mos.


Any help will be appreciated.

What state is she in?  There are Application offices all over the country.  See the web sites below to find the office closest to her.

For general info:

For office locations:
http://www.ins.usdoj.gov/graphics/formsfee/finger/asc.htm

Plus, the front section of most phone books has numbers of various state, local, and federal services.  The number to her closest INS office should also be in there somewhere.

If I remember correctly, Sally's 'conditional' GC was mailed from the District office (Boston for us) where we had the AOS interview, not an INS Service Center.  So maybe your friend should call her local District office first.  They told us it would be 6-9 months and the card arrived in 4 weeks.  Go figure...
