RIP - LE

I guess SEEKER was right in that it does sound like an obit discussing Margareth and Latin Encounters.
As I am just about done downing the last glass of a fine Pinot Grigio
I was reminiscing about a couple niceties that Margareth bestowed on me back when.
I was reminded back in 2003 when I did a 10 day tour there and one day at the onset I was sitting by myself on the couch by the stereo and playing with the family dog, when Marg came outta the office and asked me why I didn't have a cita (date) It was about 3 in the afternoon and I told her the girls hadn't made anymore citas until 7 that evening. She nodded her head and went back into her office only to return about 10 minutes later and told me that a beautiful girl was coming to see me in 30 minutes. I ended up having a great time with a beautiful woman for several days and I really appreciated that.
Another thing that Margareth would do, is size you up real quick. If she took a liking to you she would really go the extra mile. For whatever reason Marg liked me and one day she told me not to make any late citas and to come to her office about 10 in the evening when she would not be bothered and have free time.
So I went to see her and she showed me her "private stock" on her personal computer. Talk about the "WOW" factor. I ended up with a lovely girl that I was the closest to ever getting engaged with in Colombia. For personal reason I decided not to pull the trigger, but Margareth really did come through. I know from other guys I wasn't the only one she did this for.
I agree with Seeker that Cali will not be the same without her. I have about 10 friends that I met in Cali that I am still in contact with and all came about in one fashion or another because of LE. I also remember when whenever I was in Cali any gringos that I knew were also in town I would somehow manage to run in to them at LE. EH Kiltboy.
Well all good things must come to an end and so it is with LE.
In a way the rundown on LE forced me to look elsewhere and I fell in love with Cartagena and the Coast of Colombia and so all worked out well on my behalf.
But LE and Margareth was a great start and intro to Colombia and the finest ladies in the world. So Salud Margareth!
