Just looking for some clarification on the documents required in Packet 3 and Packet 4.  It is my understanding that my novia will receive the following forms in the aforementioned packets:

DS-156
DS-156K
DS-230 Part I and Part II
OF-169 checklist form

I completed DS-156 and DS-230 on my end. i don't want to confuse her and plan to hand carry everything to the interview including the Affidavit of Support, relationship evidence, etc.  I leave for Medellin next month and want to prepare her to respond to packet 3 and packet 4.  If I understand correctly, all she needs to do is complete and return the checklist form and along with DS-230 Part I.  So it is my intention to give her nothing but DS-230 and tell her I have everything else and will bring to the interview. i just plan  to tell her to send in the signed DS-230 and the checklist form.  Am I missing anything? Feedback?

Yes, you are correct. However she is going to receive instructions from the embassy in the packet and the instructions will be in Spanish and easy to follow. Does she have her DAS certificate and passport? She will have to get the medical and lab report done in Bogota before the interview as well.

She can do that along with the lab the day before. The lab is walk-in but for the doctor you need an appointment. Make the appointment late in the day. Also you have to pay the $100 visa application fee ahead of time too. She should be able to do that the same day.

She should concentrate on getting the police report (DAS) which I believe is good for 30 days, she will get a list of doctors in Bogota that are authorized to complete the medical exam for her.
Just have the money ready is their slogan.
My girl had to have additional shots because her family couldn't find her shot records. She did everything in Bogota 2 days before her interview. However, she received results the same day she took the exam.

it obviously reads in Spanish but it says that the DAS document includes the photo, finger print, and cedula#. i hope that this is what she needs. if not, i guess there will be a return visit to DAS

Papi, you want to schedule the doctors exam 3-4 days in advance of the visa interview date.It can take a couple days sometimes to get the lab results.Buena suerte.

Actually you can go to the lab in the morning and as long as your doctor's appointment is after 2 pm they will have the lab results the same day. What you do is schedule your doctor's appointment first for late in the day. On the day of the doctor's appointment go to the lab first thing that morning because it is walk-in - no appointments. You can tell them which doctor you are going to and they make sure they get the lab results.
