I have to admit there are some interesting post and the sight can be informative.I was bombarded with negativity my first post.I felt that it was my business to give the details that i wanted and that was my business.
It is a small world and many of the agencies look at this sight.So i did not mind that some one would email me personally and i would respond.But when a person post my personal response to him ,is BS.When i gave a call to a poster and he drilled me with questions like a survey and did not give me time to respond and hung up and posted more BS. about me.
Then there was the spelling sheriff,was not even looking at the post, just spelling.
Well i hope that i can start again and get some positive in put and learn and give some advice from my experiences.I can put my past behind me and hope that this can be a good experience.
May be find some Americans that visit Cali and want to hook up with an American or a first timer that needs recommendations,like am American hotel,English speaking taxi driver,ect.. starting over

There are some people who visit this site who should remain lurking.  They don’t seem to have a clue on how to post something of substance, instead clogging up the board with gibberish.  Then we have what are called "trolls", posters who purposely post controversial issues with no intent to actually participate in the discussion, just to get a rise out of other people.  I highly suspect you are one of these two.  In your first post here, you accused a woman of being a scammer, without giving any relevant details, and now you claim it is your right to post just the details you feel fit because the others are "your business" and anyone who questions you is just plain mean and a dummy poopy.

Well junior, that isn’t the way things work around here.  If you want to have the respect of the other posters you need to be a person who is forthright with the information of your posts.  You want to accuse a woman of being a scammer?  Fine, but either post a lot of independently verifiable information, or expect to be grilled.  Otherwise you probably just want to keep things to yourself.

As far as the spelling thing, since it was I who was the spelling sheriff, let me make it clear that I did read the content of your post and found it to be incomplete and factually questionable and you didn’t promptly respond to questions.  With that in mind, I took the liberty of doing a little profiling, and decided based on the content of your post and your poor spelling that you must be some white trash idiot who didn’t graduate high school and who expected "thar womin to be submissof" otherwise they must be scammers.

Post intelligently on this board and for the most part people will respond intelligently.  But post poorly and expect to be treated poorly.

My first question, why Cali? It's always Cali. Cali is the last place I would go to look for a wife. OK, maybe Akron, Ohio is the last place but Cali is close.

Yes......love is where you find it in South America...and I am not telling anyone that they cannot find someone in Cali Colombia but there are some facts here.

1. Cali is "gringo saturated" compared to other cities.

2. The attractive ladies in the agencies are just as picky as you are....if you spend anytime at the agency...they have four or five meetings lined up for a typical Saturday...just like you do...( seen this first hand more then once)

3. Large number of young,immature, uneducated girls....not the best situation to bring here for a wife.

4.Yes....insincere women can be found in every city in South America.....but Cali seems to be Number 1 in this area...always.

5. Men have contributed to the problem by going to Cali and using the marriage agencies for a sex vacation..women who were once sincere about this process are no longer because of being jaded by American men.

If I were to never marry and wanted a playboy life style...I would probably move to Cali.

"Wife material" to bring to the states however...Cali would be the last place I look.

I found my special person in Lima Peru....after spending two years visiting Cali(4 times) as well as Bogota (2 times).....

I'm happy for you...that you found your love in Peru. There's no need for you to diss ANY woman, from ANYWHERE! Yes Cali has more horror stories....But Cali, also has the most success stories!!! If you or anyone feels that Cali is "saturated" with Gringos....then you've been running in some very small circles.

It really appears you jump down anyones throat that is critical of any way of Cali. You claim "there is no need to dis any women"  I posted earlier that insincere women can be found in any city. But in my opinion more horror stories are coming from Cali.

I also never posted that you could not find a women of quality there.Its just in my opinion, more difficult now...but can still be done. You found someone of quality as well as others including Dallassteve.But it is more difficult now then say a few years back.

In my opinion...Cali is more Gringo saturated then other cities...but heck thats just my opinion....I dont live there...and neither do you....however Pete DOES LIVE IN CALI.....and agrees with this.....you have to admit the opinion of someone who is actually living there and sees it first hand on a day by day basis has more creditablity.......dont you think???

Success is where you find it in South America.....but many here agree that Cali has become more difficult....but not impossible...to find success

Gringo saturated bight be too strong a term.Yes lots of gringos come here,looking for women,more than any other latin destination.But its acity of over 2 Million,there are probably not more than 20 gringos in town at any one time looking.And there are lots of girls at the agencies ,which is what brings the guys.And lots of girls have learned to be users,but most have not.
Pristine and virgin it is not.But still the best selection of girls,including the best selection of good girls.Just more of them,most are not flaky or users.

I don't jump down anyone's throat that is critical of Cali. Check the archives, for yourself! But I will take ANYONE to task for dissing women from ANYWHERE!!!! Check the archives, where does Pete say that Cali is saturated w/Gringos? Pete's situation is as different, as any man who goes down there. Pete is his own man, with his own plan. What works for Pete, Me or DS2 won't work for all. No matter how long or how little time is spent in Cali or ANYPLACE for that matter! Yes there are more horror stories coming out of Cali, there are also MORE success stories, coming out of Cali. Some of which you may never see posted here!

Your reference to things changing from a "few years ago" holds little water. With each successful relationship that comes from Cali, the word does get back....That good things can happen! Pete's contributions are priceless to the board. But Pete will also tell you, that his experiences are his & that no one man's experience can dictate what will happen to others!

My question would be when you go to Cali do you ever see another gringo? On my five trips to Medellin with my time there totalling several months, I have never even seen another gringo outside of the airport.

but it's not like there's soo many, that you can't go anywhere, without seeing or stepping on one! Because, there are many times while I was in Cali, that I didn't see an "obvious" Gringo! BTW...I've visited Colombia 15 times & I've never witnessed this Gringo saturation, that you're posting about. I've mistaken some locals as "Gringos" on a couple of occasions. Don't always believe what you see on the outside! Geez...we're talking about a city/area of over 2 million. If every agency, had it's rooms full...there still wouldn't be a saturation. Unless, you just hang out with gringos & just go to the usual spots....

I might see one or two gringos a week, if that.  Far from tons.  The agencies in town aren't all that busy either.

I still think a guy can find a good person in Cali. The agency venue in Cali is definitly a rat race, but if a guy is careful and chooses wisely, he could probably find a decent woman to marry.

However, I think a guy can increase his chances by looking outside of agencies, which ever city he visits; and attempt to visit other cities.

Also, you mentioned the playboys in the agencies. Well, I think it goes both ways. Allot of the women are not just looking for love, but they're looking for someone to save them from toubles (9 out of 10 times, financial troubles). There are many girls that see no problem with asking for a substantial amount of money and gifts prior to marriage, and even from just casual friendships with gringos. Some are sincerely interested in the guys, others are not. Many of the better looking gals have Colombian boyfriends that gringos never hear about. AND, many of the better looking and younger gals in Cali are frequently approached, and even supported, by Colombian men who live deviant life styles (think about it). Not to mention the games of the crooked agencies.

So, I think there have been both men and women that have suffered unfairly in this game.
