I think if a guy is serious about meeting a latina from latin america for a relationship they should realize that introduction agencies are just one way of meeting women. They are not the only way.

The best approach to take is to learn the language they speak, and become more independent with the search.

When I say independent, I mean meeting people one on one in public. Go to the mall, a San Andresito, a business, etc, etc, smile and strike up a conversation in SPANISH. If the woman asks why you're there, be honest and always be polite. The greater majority of Colombianas I have met, whom are people not familiar with agencies, are favorable to marrying a gringo as long as the guy is sensitve and scincere.

From my experience, the best looking and some of the more geniune ladies ARE NOT IN AGENCIES. If you want to maximize your possibilities, look outside of agencies.

A few posters made comments about Cali, Colombia. I use to love that place, but I have lost intrigue with Cali. There are other Colombian cities to visit with quality people. One of the things that turned me off with Cali is the number of women with plastic/cosmetic surgeries, ranging from lip injections to butt and boob implants and lipposuctions. I find that tacky, a total turn off. Another thing that turned me off is the stench that you first smell when you arrive. There's a sewage treatment plant near the airport, and travellers can smell the odor as they drive away from the airport. Other things are that the city could be better organized, and the economy in Cali has really suffered. Not to mention there are so many gringos there.

I think for a gringo starting out, cities like Bucaramanga, Medellin, and Bogota should be considered. If you're into costenas, then consider Santa Marta. I purchased an international time-share package with Hoteles Decameron Galeon about a year ago. I visited their resort in Santa Marta, fell in love with the place.

The introduction agencies are not the only way to meet girls.You can meet them elsewhere if you speak spanish or have someone working for you that does.But we hear alot more speculation about this than actual success stories of someone doing it.And depending on where you go to meet the chicas you may find girls of higher character or possibly lower character than at the agencies.Picking them up in Bars or on Avenida Sexta might be one example of this.
We also hear lots of speculation about other cities.One friend of mine whom is always talking himself in to a new approach before trying it now thinks Barranquilla is the hot place.Maybe.But not from past reports here that I remember.One friend who met his wife here in Cali after numerous trips to Barranquilla and Peru did say if they like you they will have sex with you right away.But that is his opinion based on his experience.Might not be true for all or even generally true.To me looking at the Barranquilla pictures I see alot less girls I find attractive.
About cosmetic surgury.Yes its big in Cali.And not just for girls trying to find gringos.I often see Colombianos who appear prosperous as in driving nice cars and going to good restaurants.Sometimes they are accompanieed by girls too good looking to likely be natural.If you stray away from the hot locationslike chipi Chapi you see lots of girls with a flabby stomach. I think they have their own version of junk food here.Lots of starches and sweets.
Some girls who I would call upwardly mobile seem to recognise is a hot body that will get them what they want.
I dated 41 year old who had to me a nearly perfect body.It was not natural at all.Big boobs,SLIM waist,nice round butt.I though seeing her in clothes she couild not look that good without them.Wrong.I saw her in a bikini,I can show you amazing before and after shots.
Problem is if she didn't have a prima Donna attitude before she sure developed one.Thought see was hot s--t.But for me the hot body did not compensate for getting jerked around and toyed with.I can't stand that,will not tolerate it.Too many others to choose from.
For a 41 year old,who would be way past her prime here otherwise,it was probably a good investment.
I could see where a guy could get hooked on some of these incredible bodies.One friend was dating such a girl,32,again amazing before and after pictures.He was hooked on her but she was a head case,couldn't keep it together for 4 days without causing a big fight with him.A Colombiano friend was telling him,look,if the body is that important to you find a girl who cares about you and is easy to get along with and get her modified.I was laughing when he said that,but it does make some sense if the hot body is what you desire.
Again,stray away frm the upscale locations you will see lots of pretty ordinary looking Colombianas.

Thank you for sharing your good advice.  I have not yet been to Cali, but judging from the agency photos, a lot of women do seem to have had 'work' done.

IMHO, if a woman does cosmetic surgery (unless she is truly disfigured or scarred) is a sign of low class.  If a woman is all-natural and in good shape (as in, takes care of how she looks), she will be attractive to at least some of the guys.  

I know that tastes differ, and I do respect that.  But seeing a Dolly Parton (sp?) knockoff to me is the same as seeing a jumping lowrider on hydraulics.  It is their body, their money and their choice what they do with it, but to me that's just bad taste.

I tend to agree with you, however, I'm sure there are guys on this board that have married women whom have had such treatments, and are perfectly happy. So, I'm not going to be too outspoken because I don't want to step on toes. Hey, I learned the hard way !!!! LOL !!!! No one stepped on more toes on PL than I did !!!! LOL !!!!

Anyway, with all that said, yes there are allot of women young and old in Cali with cosmetic surgeries. If you go, you will see women that look so beautiful that you know it just can't be real (i.e., there are some women that have had really good jobs, and it shows well). These are usually women that could afford the best clinics, they work out, and keep up with treatments.

Then, you'll see women that have had work done that looks horrible. It's clearly exaggerated, sloppy, noticible scarring, and the women don't keep up with treatments, nor do they exercise. For example, I can remember I was in a cafeteria eating lunch one time in Cali. This woman in her middle forties was there. She had butt implants that made her buttox stick out so far that it looked like a right angle. It was like her butt has a ledge that you could set drinks on. Also, she didn't have any hips.

As I said, it is MY opinion.  It seems that with the bounty available there are ladies for everyone's taste.  And if there are guys that prefer ladies with implants - I have nothing against neither them nor these ladies.  I just expressed MY opinion.  I did not want to offend anyone.  I do think that one of the purposes for this board is to express opinions pertinent to the topic of the general discussion - and that's what I did.
