Re:K-1 Fiance Visa/Filing Vt/Girl in Peru

Hi Guys,
Help me on this one. How long do you think it will take before I greet her at the airport in the USA? Where are the bottlenecks in the process-Vermont-Peruvian Embassy or both? Also what should I expect?

I am still waiting and waiting (Nebraska Center)

My girls cousin (K3) just had her interview and now has her visa but its been a year for them.

I am so sick of waiting, every morning I wake up and wish she was here.

Hi Z! Check out Visajourney.com.  They have a timeline link that shows the visa progress.  You're lucky to be filing in VT  because they have the fastest turnaround time.  IMO, once the paperwork is sent to the embassy, things move quickly.  I'm also engaged to a peruvian. I filed 7/24, received date 7/26, 1st NOA (Notice of Action) 7/29, I had an RFE (Request for Explanation) and lost a week due to that, 2nd NOA 10/12 and it's now at the National Visa Center in NH. I'm praying she gets here by Christmas.

As of now it looks like they are scheduling interview dates approximately
1 to 1 1/2 months after the Peru embassy receives the paperwork from
the US.  So if Peru receives the paperwork by the end of this month, her
interview date may be around early to mid-December, that's my guess.
