I don't think that anybody in their right mind could assume anything from a tidbit that small.

However from your post I would conclude that you are incredibly suspicious of women and were probably abused by your mother as a small child. HeHeHe !!!

Close...abused by an ex to the point of making me very wary, and although your comments place you in the peanut gallery, they are still what I want to hear...I need to know if I am being overly suspicious right now before I overthink something that might have potential, although it does seem to be a bit strange to have a full system complete with webcam and no internet in the house...Who else wants to take a stab at it (or me)? The world is to big a place to take any kind of a real stab at it with such a little bit of information. But, before I make up any kind of a hypothetical situation to explain why she wouldn't have internet access. I have to honestly tell you that your feeling the need to analyze this woman's every comment smacks of a serious problem.

Anyway here goes. She lives in a strata five barrio and if she spent a lot of time on line the phone bill would amount to half the price of the computer. Household phone bills are charged by the minute in cali and the higher the strata she lives in the higher the rate the phone bill will be charged at.  

I can make up more scenarios if you like but I'll have to start charging you. Not because I need the money but because I like to punish fruitless behavior;-)

Thanks. This is what I am talking about. Yes, I do have a serious problem. It is called mistrust after getting taken. I don't want to live like that because I am not that guy and don't want to become him, but better safe than sorry. Not having been to Colombia before, info like this is helpful in balancing out the possibilities. If I make an azz of myself here (I apologize up front), it is because I didn't know about this resource the first time around, but now that I do, I am going to use it. Laugh, cry, kick me in the head if you want to, but help me to use your knowledge of what's reality there and what isn't until I can build up enough of my own. Call me cynical, but it isn't hard for me to see a beautiful calena sitting at home collecting monthly internet payments from 50 gringos who volunteered it to get a daily dose of that webcam.

While I think people are generally better off going with their intuition over such things, there are plenty of reasons a person my not have internet at home...

I have two cars in my driveway right now, neither of which are on the road for one odd reason or another.  Mostly because I live in Key West and hardly need a car.

If I am in the peanut gallery, can I at least get a front row seat?

Hello Locii, no, you are definitely not in the peanut gallery. I found that out during our thread over your trip to Honduras. As far as Calipro, I have read enough of his posts to have come to value his experience in Colombia, I was just jabbing at him for his remark (although it made me laugh out loud) about being abused as a child. I am just trying to get responses, good and bad, as it struck me a little odd that she has a porsche but can't afford to put gas in it so to speak, and I am on overdrive looking for red flags. Just hoping that presenting it to the board and my esteemed colleagues in the quest for Ms. Right in SA can help keep me from making another mistake one way or the other.
