I got the pleasure last night to watch on T.V. the D.A.S. arrest a marriage ancgeny owner last night from Florida. His name was Robert Frank Danilo, I guess he got some gringo to pay him 1,500 dollars for his service and when the gringo tried to cancel him the crap hit the fan. Anyone that want to read the story it is on El Heraldo web site... DAS detiene a estadounidense por presunta extorsion.... The woman involved was crying her eyes out on t.v. Anyone know what the name of the marriage ancgeny was the paper and t.v. did not report it....It is based in Florida....

The way I saw it on the news here in Barranquilla was the Gringo went to the police but not until he had changed his mind and wanted to try something else.... If you could have watched the woman cry her eyes out... My wife thought it was very funny she pointed it out to me on the T.V.

I never met the guy when I was down there, but as I recall everyone that used he & his wife's agency reported that he was a real above-board kind of guy. Everyone seemed to like the guy.  As I recall, he operated out of his home.  Kind of surprising to hear.

The owner tried to get the guy to pay him $1500 after he declined to use his services because the prices were too high.

i heard of this guy and looked at his website before but dont remember it. my experience is that agencies are fairly honest for the most part aside from nickel and diming their customers but you never know. i agree - good to hear law enforcement is cracking down on those that cheat their customers.
