I noticed that burbuja2 has been banned.  Although we've had our moments, I am actually disappointed in his banning.  How does everyone else feel??

Burbuja2 was interesting enough to be allowed to stay. If he baited Troy into doing something that he was advised not to, it was still up to Troy as a man not to take the bait. The responsibility to adhere to the restriction was Troy's regardless of what anyone else said to him. Also, I have read very insightful posts from Troy, and I feel that he contributed very well, but to insult another man's wife for any reason in an open forum kills whatever else he had to offer. The ban on Troy was legitimate and should stand.

I say if a person is banned, they are banned.  If you let these 2 back in then it is only fair to let everyone else in.  I had a friend that was banned for just supporting people that had an opinion different from the rest.

With all considered, the BB2 & Troy issue was different for me. In regards to those banned in the past by Patrick. If Patrick allows me to moderate....they will remain banned, unless he (Patrick) signs their pardons :-)

Was your friend's user name Aaron? He seemed to enjoy disagreeing with people just for the fun of it. I have a hard time believing that your friend was banned simply for disagreeing with the majority.

Among those who get banned, most are for good reason but some are for reasons that are questionable. Burbuja and Troy fit into the latter category. I would bring them back, especially Burbuja. Other people completely deserve to get banned and are not missed by anyone once they are gone. Bring everyone else back? Are you kidding?? This forum would be the equivalent of the Jerry Springer show if that were to happen.

For a suspension of privs for a week or two, to allow both parties to reflect on their transgressions? Let me say, that I've bumped heads with both of these men here. They're probably (yeah right...lol) on opposite ends of the political & social spectrum. Patrick, recently you've shown an increased latitude in what you've allowed to be posted. With your increased tolerance, I too, had to increase my own tolerance to what I found objectionable posting. I've found with the two most recently banned posters (Burbuja2 & Troy) & some who are currently posting...that I have more in common with these men, than what I don't....with the one notable exception...lol

See Clay, that's the difference between you & I. I feel comfortable with myself, going to bat for people who don't walk lock-step with me, who don't share the same political, social or most important....skin color, as me! If Patrick & I can work out a couple of things. More than likely, I'll have way less time to post. Now....wouldn't that make you VERY HAPPY?

Now...do you want Troy back, or would you rather starve yourself to death?
