Need good Airfare Manila to Nashville, USA

I have been trying to get good deal for Gingski who is going to an educational seminar in Nashville.  I posted on Mag-Anak and someone suggested orbitz.com and the price.coms, etc.  Ginski still can't find a very good deal.  ANy Ideas???

Below is her latest post on my courtship club.  I thought you would find it of interest as I had asked her how she qualified for Tourist Visa.

Yes this is my first Trip to States. I visited www.orbitz.com so far i still get lower rate here in Manila which $920+ $43tax less $50 if i get one month advance paid ticket round trip Manila-Detroit-Nashville.

Well, about my Tourist Visa, in my case it was really so easy. Not much questions and no supporting documents asked,I just presented a Letter of Invitation that I am going to attend a seminar, we have a family corporation Montessori School which is affiliated with American Montessori society... I know that getting Visa is so hard,, but most important thing i was thankful is through Prayers, i pray hard for this..

Interesting!  Anyone know of others getting Tourist Visas so easy?  Lets help her with airfare deal if we can, OK?

Mexicans have a notoriously difficult time getting tourist visas since so many overstay their visas - but when I was managing a twin plant (One in California, one in Tijuana) I wrote a letter on company letterhead saying that a person had been a good employee for a number of years, that she was being promoted, and that it would be necessary for her to come to the US for training on an occasional basis. She received her visa on the spot with only that letter and her passport. Having an invitation from a US company greatly speeds up the tourist visa process.

Try going direct with the Northwest ticket office( not at the airport!) which I believe is in Makati City.
This last year we found that quite a bit cheaper than any travel agency we found.

Jean, i dont know if the courier companies fly only from
the usa or they fly also to the usa,

Have you had experience?  I heard they too restrictive on how long you can stay.  Usually only a couple days, no?

I will suggest Gingski inquire if possible FROM PI.

I dont think that  the stay restriction is  what
you say, but i have a friend who flew last christmas
to Manila from usa, on a singapore airlines 747
said it was wonderful experience.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
each courier company is different i think,,,,,,,,
but the stay restrictions i have heard you can stay
a long time depending on who you fly with.

Northwest airlines usually has good airfares, and should be able to beat the price she was quoted.  www.nwa.com  If she has some flexibility and the time to play around with the travel dates a little bit it may save her a couple hundred $.    Larry.
