Just a quick note.  I went to  get my teeth cleaned and told the hygenist that I was going down to Colombia to live for awhile. She gave me a great big smile and told me that she knew two guys in her church that had met two Colombian women. One of them, I guess, had met a women from Bogota on the internet.  When he went down there, can't say how long they wrote to each other before he went down, he fell in love with this women's sister.  Long story short, he ended up marrying the sister and a friend of his ended up marrying the first sister.  They both live in Seattle and are very happy.  They have been together about two years and one of the couples is about to have their first baby.  She was not sure, but it sounded like the guys were about forty or so and the girls maybe late twenties.  She was not sure about the age difference.  Just her energy in telling the story showed me how positive she felt about the marriages. She herself is married with four children and seems very happy with her family.  Just nice to hear that there are success stories out there that many of us never hear of.  Sorry I don't have more details of how they met but wanted to pass along what I had heard.

This is a great post.  I don't have the impression that the divorce rate with Latina-Gringo relationships is any worse that the 50% failure rate of US marriages.

The lessons learned from some of our mistakes should greatly increase the percentage of success which is why Planet Love is invaluable.

Thanks for another good story.  Many successful marriages don't get as much play here since new husbands are busy being happy and it's silly to make weekly posts saying we're still happy.

I laughed at your comment about silly weekly posts saying we're happy. For the record, I am still very happy with my wife and she with me!

You are indeed and I hope I can say the same after my wife finally gets here.

I know when she does witht hree ladies needing help studying English and weekends packed with family activites, I might not have as much time to post.

You are definately an example of a success story who also has the time to contribute.

Postive stories are always good to hear...

Just goes to show you that the PL microcosm is a minute percentage of those who venture abroad to find a decent partner...
