Marriage Visa
I live in Detroit. I had to make the 2 hour drive to my state Capital in Lansing to get an Apostille (did i spell that right? the word's not even in the g/d dictionary) for certain notarized documents--ummmm...my divorce decree, police clearance, birth certificate etc.. All this stuff had to be translated prior. I paid $50 per page. The little haglet behind the Office of the Great Seal counter would not accept one of my notary's signatures because it didn't match the registered signature on file (middle initial was missing). I had to make a second trip back out to Lansing that afternoon. I still had to make the 5 hour drive to the Colombian Consulate in Chicago. No one in Barranquilla asked for my marriage visa--not one church official or clergy member, nor the city clerk afterwords when applying for the marriage certificate. Will some other prestigious official down the line at INS request it? Someone please tell me i need this g/d marriage visa.

I am still friggin' confused about this k-3 crap. I purchased the cheaper $150 visa package from Cherry Blossoms, and did everything myself. Can't decide if i made the right choice. There were at least 4 contradictory items/errors in their "simple, step by step instructions", and they claim a 35 year existence. Anybody been there? The Nebraska paperwork featuring the I-134 (right?) takes about 2 years to process? What does this bring us? a green card? what is a green card exactly?

I just received my "Receipt Notice" from filing my I-129F Petition on 7-26-04. This gets her here on a temporary basis while i wait for the other crap to process? How long is this process? Why do these two sets of paperwork go to two different places? Should i be expecting a bill for YOUR help now? (-:
thank you
