My intro

Hi!  I'm Westerngrrl, a 21 year old Canadian female of Chinese descent.  I'm a university student, in her third year, working on a degree that most Asians don't go for (i.e. Arts (drama/history to be exact)).  I'm a goat according to the lunar calendar, and pretty much the epitome of one (i.e. theatre, blah blah blah)  The types of guys I'm interested in are clean cut, smart, rougly my age and preferably with light brown/dirty blond hair (though surfer blond and dark hair guys can interest me too).....What else do you want to know? :-)

To introduce myself to you, I am a 36 year old divorce' with 2 daughters. I played the dating game for several years. I gave up on relationships till I met this little boy who goes to school with my daughter. I met his family, and asked them to introduce me to one of their single men in Vietnam. That's how I met Thai, who is 30 years old. I'll go their this june to meet him. I think I may be the only women in america taking this route. I have had alot of my single friends tell me if this works for me, they are also thinking of doing it.

Speak a little bit of Cantonese.  Can understand movies but can't understand the news.

My best language is English (notice I didn't say "first".  THat's because it isn't.  I didn't speak any English until I started kindergarten)  I am semi-fluent in Cantonese and I can also speak a bit of French.

I'm happy to have you join the PL Family :-o. I think you may be the first Chinese Asian girl to actually keep the board lively. Now that you've Introduced yourself, You are no longer a Troll. A formal welcome to you Westerngrrl! I am Dave H. A 43 year old surfer/scuba diver and retired firefighter/paramedic. I'm 20 years too long in the tooth and I lost some of my blonde locks along the way. ) I am too smart for my own good and too stupid to know it. Welcome!!! I for one find your posts quite interesting. Why do you think so few Asians go into Arts (drama/history)? From some of your posts you sounded very materialistic, so I am a bit surprised too that you are majoring in Arts...

Nah...it's not as important for a girl to have money.  She merely needs to be polished enough!  A good education will lead to a good job, and eventually a good husband.  Polishing is just part of it.  You can't really be too polished if your undergrad is in engineering or business.  The undergrad is the most important.  Money can come with the master's degree.

I majored in CS and Drama I liked drama most though. Are you into astrology? I've just started studing Chinese astrology. I'm a rabbit my girlfriend is a dog. That may sound worse than it is I read one of your posts that said that you were doing a study on inter-racial dating. I was wondering how it's going? Do you know much about the Japanese? My current girlfriend is Japanese, her first husband was Chinese. Is there alot of mariage in between China an Japan?
