Your post above is no different than what you were writing a week ago.  Do you think repetition makes you sound more persuasive, or just reptitious?

Anyway, I'm glad to see that no one even attempted to rebut my point about John sKerry's eagerness to commit American troops abroad.

Last, a question to those who say GW "misled" us.  Do you think that if sKerry and others had not been successful in consistently weakening our intelligence service that we might have had better information?  Also, didn't the Ruskies and even our "ally" the French conclude that Saddam had wmd?  Last night, the weatherman said it would rain in the afternoon.  Instead, it rained in the morning.  Did he "mislead" us, or did he give the best conclusion he could based upon available data?

Maybe he's reading from Goebbel's playbook: Tell a big lie often enough and it will be believed.

I have avoided posting any responce to ass clown since the last flame war I
had with him but I see he could not resist posting a reponse to me. So Bubba
butt the hell out You do not have to read my response to heat... that is
between me and him not you... As a former porn shop owner and a lawyer
your opinion matters very little to me. I must say your post have really been
something the 100 or so would not qualify as toilet paper so get off your
soap box!!

I have news for you... Before 9/11 Bush had decrease our intelligence
budget too. No one I repeat NO ONE could have stopped what happened on
9/11. I do not blame Clinto I do not blame Bush... It happened. We all know
our allies don't know their ass from a hole in the ground so to say "well they
thought that Saddum had those weapons too" does not hold water with me.
We are suppose to be the biggest toughest guy on the block and we did not
know period what Saddum had......

Lets take this slow.   9-11 occurred in what year?  The answer is 2001.  When did Bush assume office?  20 January 2001.  So, guess who proposed the budget for 2001?  Bill Clinton.

Anything else?

Burbuja- I say misled not only because he said there was WMDs in Iraq as you pointed out France,Germany,Clinton etc thought so to. I started to really question it when all these people who were close to the situation claim he always wanted to attack Iraq. You know about Richard Clarke but also theres former Treasury Sec Paul Oneill who claimed that the administration from day one was planning to oust Saddam
"From the very beginning, there was a conviction that Saddam Hussein was a bad person and that he needed to go, "For me, the notion of pre-emption, that the U.S. has the unilateral right to do whatever we decide to do, is a really huge leap."

more recently theres the bi partisan 9/11 commision who says there is no evidence now or then of ties with Iraq and Al-Queda. I would argue that Iran was a much bigger threat then Saddam. I fully supported the attack on Afghanistan but my opinion is that the administration used the overwhelming public support to overthrow Saddam something it planned on doing from the start.

Isn't the benefit of hindsight wonderful?  If I recall correctly, the US policy of regime change began with Clinton.

I do not think anyone is denying that about Clinton... That is the whole
point here who are you going to blame for 9/11? Why don't we just try to fix
the problem instead of looking for someone to blame understand? Nothing
gets fixed and then something real bad happens....  When 9/11 happened I
watched it on T.V. as it happened... I watched grown men's faces that had life
sentences go blank and not know what to say. I think if you had offered them
a gun to go fight there would have been a line going right out the jail....

with me... but I guess that is what I get for thinking.... or should I say giving
you more credit then I really should have....

Right.  I don't think anyone is trying to place blame here -just to take steps to minimize the possibility of it occurring again.  I think its quite clear that there is plenty of blame to go around.

Don't say this too loud or alll the arm chair quarterbacks are going to get
mad and attack you.... I think their favorite term is you are un american or a
traider? Well you get the just of it... I agree 100 percent..... I support the
president when he invaded Afghanistan, we went right to the root of the
problem. I think if we were going to go after someone else we should have
looked at Iran but hey Saddum tried to kill my daddy so he had to something
right?
