OK, here's the situation.  I have a buddy pass and a free week next week.  Where should I go?  I did the Bogota deal 2x last year through LAI and enjoyed it, but I'm looking for a new destination.  Besides, I'm not sure if I want to make this an "agency" trip you know, where you're sort of tied to one agency.  When I go somewhere, I like to check the place out too.  I've always been interested in seeing Argentina and Chile, but I understand it's a little chilly this time of year.  Also, considering this is a last minute deal I don't have any reservations anywhere.  How would you all handle that?  I've done this type of last minute trip in the past to Spain and it was no problem finding a hotel, etc.  But, with SA, I think it's a little more risky.

thanks guys,
Brian

Hi Brian,

I had the good fortune of visiting Argentina last year and really enjoyed it.  I went to BsAs, Cordoba, and Mendoza.  Mendoza was way cool.  Bueller and Corv also went there and had good things to say it.  Try doing a search by author and the trip reports will come up.

Brian

If you're not looking to do the agencies this trip you might consider the following:

Aruba - Or somewhere else in the Carribean.  I went there with my wife and we liked it a lot.  We stayed at Mill's Resort which was nice and affordable.

Argentina - I went to Buenos Aires and Iguazu Falls.  I love Iguazu Falls and want to go back.  There are lots of beautiful women in Argentina, too.  Negative: It's a long flight, about 8 hours in the air, about 14 hours total airport time.

Cancun - I suppose you've been there.  I haven't and would like to go.

Puerto Rico - Another Carribean spot.  You've still got US laws to protect you.  Any country that can produce Jennifer Lopez has to have some cute ladies.

Uruguay - Small country between Argentina and Brazil.  Hardly ever gets mentioned.  The beaches and women look nice.  Fairly modern and European.

Brazil - Stay away from Rio right now.  It looks like it's getting more dangerous than Colombia.

yeah, Argentina is on my list and Montevideo has always been intriguing.  I have to go on Delta and Sao Paulo and Santiago are the only two cities down there they fly to.  I'm leaning towards Santiago due to availability.  Then, maybe I can work my way over to Argentina.

Lima is nice...it is Winter there now and is in the 60's a lot. They have an agency there...Match sys. ..it is the only one but Raul and Gracia are very helpful and it is a top notch place.

Good luck and have fun where ever you end up.....don't forget to post a report upon your return.

Thanks guys, I'm vacilating between Chile and Lima now.  Both have flights open.  Chile is kinda far and cold right now.  Chris, where should I stay if I go to Lima.
Thanks,
Brian
