The year was 1980 and I was living in Dallas at the time.  I'm sure you all remember, double digit inflation, high unemployment, hostages in Iran and interest rates which were just out of this world.  I had gone to a Reagan rally at SMU a few days earlier, just after Carter announced that his 9 year old daughter thought that nuclear war was her greatest concern.  There were signs everwhere proclaiming "Amy, For Secretary of State".  I was waiting in line to vote late in the afternoon when the returns started coming in from the East.  Much to the dismay of the liberal networks, Reagan was carrying states by a wide margin which were suppose to be tight.  It was apparent that he would win.  The rest of the people in line and I decided to wait another 45 minutes in the hot sun and vote just to make sure that Texas followed the trend (it did).

Hail to The Great One - The Father of Modern America.

What do I think of Ronald Reagan? He was the president we needed when he
got elected... I voted for him both times and will never regret it in a million
years. I personally think he was the best pres he have had in years why
because we were in trouble the country had big problems and we needed a
pres who could ralley us and to make tough decions...

And I bet you weren't a bad actor until you got on this Board.  Why don't you take your act elsewhere.  Its getting old.

Adults don't resort to personal attacks on people they don't know.

I personally know nothing about you except the things you post.  If I were deeply offended by your point of view, I would choose not to read what you write.

As far as you deciding who gets to post on this board, I don't believe that is your decision.

Hey Kented,

You need to sign up for a free NYTimes id to read this:

But if frigging Gorbachev can recognize greatness when he meets it and is trounced by it, whats your excuse?
