Its intersting that you say :

Got news for you.  'Whites' as you call them, I assume you mean europeans, have not dominated the world over the last 500 years.  The have always been a world minority population, occupying a minority of landmass, and only in the last 200 years have 'whites' made much of a dent in the world in terms of economy, political ideas, and technology.

You may not like racism and prejudice, but you need to define it a whole lot better, and quick.

I am a caucasian male, 37yo.  I married a dark eyed, dark haired, petite italian girl and had 2 kids.  They are tall, blonde, blue eyed and fair skinned.  The number of people who see them and are stuck by this never stops surprising me.  Most of these people then make a racist statement at that time, in an attempt to pass complement.  But, see, well, its a 'positive' racist statement...or is it?

After I got divorced, I did not have any serious relationships until I met a girl who is half (caucasian) Belgian, 1/4 Zairian and 1/4 Pakistani.  She was stunningly beautiful.  I would say she looked like a cross between Jennifer Lopez and Jasmine Gauri.  Here I was, a 6'2" long blonde haired ex-yankee living in Key West with a person who, by all accounts, was my genetic opposite; coffee skin, almond eyes, african butt, jet black straight hair.  

Every day we would wander around and were apparently quite a spectacle.  People would come up to us and...well they would make racist statements.  Nice ones, complementary ones.  But racist and prejudicial nonetheless.

I fell in love with her, and fell in love with other things.  I fell in love with what I call 'the african pelvis'.  I though I was a very strange person, until I did a little research, and, lo and behold, there are striking differences between the average (female) caucasian and african pelvis.

While having a personal preference and the scientific data to back it up, I then (if not before) entered into the racist realm.  When a mulatta passes by me, I look 4X longer at her vs. the 'prettier' caucasian girl by her side.  Now, let it be known that I prefer racial mutts as lovers and possibly as a wife.  I am a racist.  Spank me.

Now, before you dismiss this as cute or missing your point, let me tell that I fear groups of black men, who attacked, without warning, myself, my sister, her boyfriend and 2 other friends on July 4th 1986, right after the fireworks, celebrating all of us together in this country.  The fear runs so deep in me that its a visceral reaction; breathing halts and my heart races when I am surprised by a group of black males in a convenience store....even though the logical part of my brain tries to tell me to relax.  I am a racist.

So spare me your diatribe, and I will spare you mine in the future.  Feel free to call be a racist, but if you do, I insist that you write BET and Jesse Jackson and Robert Mugabe and complain to them about the racism and hate they spread each and every day, and worst of all, make money off of.

The only thing worse than the heretic is the priest who commits heresy to denounce him.

BTW, The military operation in Iraq is not about racism.  Nor is not about only about oil, nor about freeing Iraqis, its about oil revenue being spent on weapons and criminal acts.  Iraq proclaimed itself an outlaw state by openly sponsoring terrorism (not only against the US) as well as by declaring the US (the west) to be infidels.  For a muslim mullah to call me an infidel is smilar but far worse than to be called a nigger, kike, or anything else.   Calling me an infidel is to in fact take me out of the human race under muslim law, and subject to just about any treatment by a 'proper servant of islam'.  Sorry, but that doesn't fly.

It's interesting that islam has come up in this conversation. Cybear mentions how the whites have such a long legacy of slavery, but it was taught to them by...arab muslims!  Ah! the legacy of the religion of peace! (Of course, learning it from someone else doesn't mitigate slavery, it just puts it in context.)

I congratulate you on your admission. It takes a real man to let the cow dung chips fall where they may. My relatives from the South always argued that they knew where Southern White folks stood (besides on Black necks). They contended that the Northern variety racists were more deceptive, therefore more dangerous than their Southern brothers.

I think your discussion of the White versus the "African" anatomy is interesting. I have had Black, Latin, Asian, and White girl friends. I never took the time to conduct an in depth theoretical study of their pelvic regions. My only knowledge on the subject comes from strictly a practical basis.

As to leaders with blood on their hands, we need not look beyond our shores. Let me share a few snippets, pardon the "V" word but over 50 thousand U.S. troops killed and approximately three million Vietnamese lost their lives in that needless and unjustified conflict. Dating back to the turn of the 19th century, the U.S. incursion into the Philippines led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Filipinos. In recent years, the U.S. direction of "dirty wars" and death squads in Central America (El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua) and South America (Chile, Colombia) - Latin Americans in the tens of thousands of thousands lay dead in the wake of our involvement.

As to your comments on Iraq, I only direct to the words of the Commander in Chief, unquote, no evidence of Iraqi participation in 9/11. The reason hundreds of thousands of Iraqis died under the US and Great Britain sponsored UN sanctions, as well as tens of thousands Iraqis who died in both Gulf Wars was and is purely for imperial design. Do you really believe that we invaded Iraq because the Iraqis had a few choice words for United States citizens? I recently returned from an extended stay in Europe, if you think what the Iraqis said about us was bad and grounds for invading and occupying their country, we should invade France, Germany, and Great Britain immediately because the citizens of those countries detest what the United States represents under this administration

"All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others." Blacks and other minorities now need "more" equality because their white brothers have been enjoying more equality for centuries. In kindergarten I learned that 2 wrongs don't make a right. Cybear, racism is racism and it's all bad. What AA does is at the heart of Socialism: From each according to his means, to each according to his need. Thanks in part to such programs that redistribute wealth and opportunities according to race, we have more racism today. IT DOESN'T WORK!  Look at the stats on black families prior to LBJ's Great Society: more families stayed together, fathers were in the home and their kids went to school and didn't get in gangs. Today's stats speak for themselves: 25% of young black males have been to prison, 60% of black families are single mothers, etc. You've come a long way, baby!

Last year, I joined tens of thousands of people who demonstrated at the US Supreme Court in support of the University of Michigan's stand on affirmative action. In addition to Blacks, Latinos, and Whites from all over the United States, Asians and persons of Arabic descent were also prominent at the demonstration. I met some of the chief organizers of the action from the U of M and some of them were Asian.

Your point also reminds me of a discussion that I had many years ago. My daughter's mother is Chinese. At the time, her mother and I talked to our daughter about the discrimination she would face as a person of Asian and African-American extraction. As she now enters her final year of undergraduate work, she chose never to forget that conversation and allow others to delude her about the reality of being an Asian and a Black in the United States.

Did you read my post? If Asians did not feel that dismantling Affirmative Action would affect them, why did they bother to protest in the nation's capitol? I did not say that Affirmative Action was a cure-all or perfect. However, absent a genuine change of heart by persons such as yourself who want to address racism and discrimination solely through lip-service (i.e., equal opportunity {for White folks}, justice {meaning just us}); affirmative action is curently the only viable method for this country to live up to words of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Let me get this straight.  You saw a few Asians at some demonstration and you conclude from that that the vast majority of Asians support AA?  While your anectdotal experience is interesting, it doesn't even come close to proving your point. You are quickly becoming a symbol of what is wrong with AA.  That kind of "logic" normally doesn't score real high on the LSAT.  Am I getting closed to the heart of the problem here?
