On to Cartagena on Sunday. I will visit Cali also, as Avianca has a free in country ticket when you travel this month. So I will try to visit Petes new palace.
Before I go : I recently made a comment about another site on the internet, that shall we say is not in line with our purpose here. I must have written it late at night without thinking about its ramifications. The site has information about apartment rentals restaurants and clubs as well as the obvious locations which are the purpose for its existance.
I in no way utilize the services of these establishments, not because I am a prude,in fact in my younger years I was in the military in Asia. There is an attitude which is obvious in Cartagena. Young girls with older foreigners in restaurants and clubs have a different connotation there. There is a huge monger population from Italy as well as from the US. I am establishing a social position there and running around with 20 year old ladies is not a positive profile in a place as small as Cartagena. The glares and looks of disgust on some of the local womens faces make it clear what they think. Secondly I like to be with women who like me. I had a Russian dancer renting a room from me and she and her friends explained what they thought of the men who paid for lap dances. I can imagine what ladies further on down the line would think. Not exactly a turn on if you ask me. I never thought of disgust and contempt as an aphrodisiac. but different strokes for different folks if you like being a wallet. jimc
