... in response to Question about Form I-129F, posted by Trey on Aug 17, 2001Hi Trey!
First, do you have the latest form? The last time I checked the INS Web site, they were using I-129F (Rev. 3/29/01)Y. The accompanying instructions pretty much tell you what to send. You do not need an attorney to do the paperwork. If you can do your own taxes, this is much easier.
No Affidavit of Support needed with the application. That will come much later.
Put the Adit photos in a business size envelope and label it on the front. That way they are less likely to get lost.
Don’t forget your birth certificate (certified copy), evidence that you met in the last 2 years, and the two statements of intent that Lori mentioned. Some evidence of a valid relationship is also a good idea.
If either of you were previously married, you need a copy of the divorce/death documents.
It’s a good idea to write a cover letter listing in order all the items enclosed.
And don’t forget the check for $95.00 :-)
If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
