Been to 3 tours-2 to Cali and 1 to Panama City. Great time, each time. Yea, you do get your hand held a bit, but so what? The commeraderie of the guys was surprising, as most were on their first attempt at this sort of thing. The translators are often members of TLC, for better or worse, and usually sweethearts. And a bigger selection of ladies than at any of the agencies. Overwhelming. Truly. After the first tour, you'll understand that most of these ladies are better at this than you are, and at the socials, you'll have to completely re-evaluate how to approach ladies. By this I mean you don't stand against the wall or bar or whatever and hope to make eye contact. They're there to meet you. If you don't like the 1st (or 20th) move on. Absolutely no problems in meeting as many as you could possibly deal with. The TLC parties are a big event in most of the cities, and the ladies come dressed to the 9's. Just don't fall in love with the 1st hottie that seems interested in you (rule #1). I have no stock in TLC, and yea, it is a bit expensive, but the tours I've been on have been worth every cent. I'll be going again sometime this year.

Is the ratio of ladies to men at the parties still 15 or 20 to 1, as is was in 98? Do the Cali parties still attract over 500 ladies between Friday and Saturday night? Just curious. I agree that despite the cost and it is still a great way to meet ladies. The next time you go please give us a trip report, if you don't mind.

Yup, way too many to give proper attention to. Probably 10 or so to 1 ratio. I actually prefered the Panama trip, as there were 28 guys and maybe 225 girls. The city was much more interesting, and for my tastes I liked the ladies just as well. But sure, a trip report on wherever I go will follow.

do you mean 225 girls total between Friday and Saturday night? I have never been to Panama. How do the ladies there compare to the ladies of Cali?

225 or so each night. My TLC tour to Panama was my 1st trip there, and I've
returned for visits 3 or 4 times since. I really like Panama city. Nice views of
the Pacific, really nice tall buildings-interesting to fly into the city. I liked the
Panama City tour better than the ones to Cali. More intimate, As for the girls,
I know this is strictly subjective and I am out-voted on this forum, but I like
the ladies at least as well in PC as opposed to Cali. IMHO, Cali is overrated as
a destination and well as to the ladies. You still have the range of looks as
you would most anywhere in Latin America, but there is a common
Panamanian look, a bit dusky skin tone which I think you can see in a lot of
the photos in a TLC catalog, that I really like. And the best looking women at
the PC tour were every bit as attractive as those in Cali. I forget exactly when
the PC tour is this year, but I would go to a tour there again before I would
Cali.

Your opinion that Panama City is a better choice than Cali may be more of a fact than an opinion. Ten years ago Cali was the lady capital of the world. But since then there have been dozens of tours and numerous agencies in Cali which has "fished out" a lot of the quality ladies. I'm not bashing Cali and I know it is still a great place to meet ladies. But the roads less travelled like Panama City may be a better choice when you think about it.

The next TLC Tour to Panama City is from Aug. 5 to Aug. 10. If all goes well, I will be going there again (with TLC). Later.

I think rule #1 is bring a pen and some paper to the party so you can write the names and phone numbers of the women you are interested in down.

I see so many guys at those TLC parties that don't have a clue. TLC does not know who most of the women are at the social and if you let them get away you won't be able to contact them until the next cataloge comes out.

I do think it is sad that TLC uses scare tactics to keep guys from associating with anyone that isn't on their tour.
To me it is a shame that some of these guys just can't make it happen in a party type setting and they are to afraid to even get in a cab and go two miles down the road to check out what is available as far as marriage agencies.

I know TLC spends a lot of money getting guys to go on their tours and they probably don't want anybody to benefit from their hard work but they are really doing their members a disservice. They really should cut a deal with the agencies. Also I think they should level with the guys.  I mean they should tell them that only half the women at the parties have expressed an interest in meeting an american for marriage and the other half were simply invited by one of their friends that got an invitation. Knowing how competitive some caleñas can be, I would doubt that many would invite friends that were more attractive then themselves. So they do end up getting more than their far share of bow wows IMHO.

Anyway there are some good things to be said for TLC parties. I think you can meet women that wouldn't normally join a marriage agency. They come from more varied backgrounds and education levels than the average women that joins a marriage agency. Also the party it self is some what of an experiance.

Raymond offered me the discounted price of $350 per party since I had gone to the TLC parties before. Personally I think he would have offer it to anybody. You could probably get a better deal with Bruce but he wasn't there during the Chirstmas tour. Bottom line, I didn't take him up on his offer. Not that it's not worth $350 a party but it just wasn't worth it to me. $350 in Cali can buy you a heck of a lot of parting with women you invited and not the ones TLC invited. Having said that I do think TLC parties can pretty much guarantee you a date with the hottest looking woman at the party. After about two hours at any of the TLC parties most of the women are really starting to get bored because there are so few guys compared to the number of women. I simply just ask the most attractive woman at the party if she would like to go out dancing. I haven't been turned down yet. After all they are all dressed up with no place to go.

Are there any "bow wows" in Cali?  I like to check the photos on the TLC website from their tours (www.tlcworldwide.com).  The Cali girls always look d**n good.  Actually, though, the Barranquilla girls look even better, that just may be due to small sample size.  The other countries that TLC goes to? Distant runners up. I think TLC is fairly honest in their selection of photos from these tours because the photos of non-Colombia tours show a surprisingly high number of bow wows.

There appears to be a lot of liposuction in Colombia, as well. A lot of the bodies are too good to be true (if you like the skinny near-waifs, which I do).  I feel that I could write about this momentous subject forever...

Trust me. If you don't like the photos you won't like the tour. The photos are always of the best looking women that showed up.

Agree with the others. Essencially you're paying $1000 for two evening socials much of which is taken up by a long introducion session, and a pool party attended by some of the same girls who came to the socials. Plus you pay your own hotel (an expensive one) and meals. For that you could buy lifetime memberships at two agencies.

I didn't look at it that way.  When you break it down financally it doesn't make too much sense.  Your right about being able to join numerous agencies for the same price.
