Some of the ladies on a pen pal site will be gold-diggers.  And some of the ladies that you meet in person or that are recommended to you by a friend will be gold-diggers.

Regardless of the way you go, you've got to keep your eyes open.

But to condemn pen pal sites because they are "gold-diggers" is rediculous.  Many men here on the Asian Board are satisfied with the results they have from the pen pal sites.

When you purchase a name you are getting an address.  The man can write and perhaps the lady will write back.  The responsibility is on us men to keep our eyes open.

I'm satisfied with my experience on a pen pal site.  Hope you guys have as good luck as I did.

How true..What I'm talking about is that the websites advertise nothing but Goodies about Pinays..It's easy for newbies to making the mistake that all Pinays can do no wrong...sooo they pick the first Pinay they go visit expectng her to be gooood after being brain washed from reading all that crap on different websites. Anybody who is that stupid shouldn't even own a computer, IMO. You'd have to have no common sense/intelligence at all to look at an internet site of all things and think "Wow! Perfect women!! That's for me!! It must be true if it's on the internet!!" I mean, be serious.

I agree.

That's why I posted earlier that there is a difference between "puffery" and "false advertising".

The way Ford advertises you'd think that every Ford owner is completely satisfied.....that they have never had any problems with customers, etc.  We can hear their ads and know what the point is.

And when you go to a pen pal site you will read that Filipinas will make the perfect wife, etc.  

A person with common sense know what is puffery.

what is your definition of golddigger, a woman who
wants a man with a stable job, is that a golddigger,
i have yet to talk to many pinays who are golddiggers
although yes perhaps in general the penpal girls may
be more eager or something, so wat.
Just becuase you met your wife in a place other than
a penpal site or a tour, wat good did it do you, not
very much good. So where you meet really does not
have that much to do with the quality of the girl, you
stil have to get to know each other and take your chances.
