My wife and i stayed at Hotel Sunrise on our Honeymoon.

It is the only hotel with the exception of Decameron Aquamarine or Marzul, that would be US standard really, but it is priced that way as well. They have a great disco attached to the hotel as well and all of the staff was very nice and if you like a gym, they have a very nice gym as well and the pool sits in the ocean on a kind of dock. They do not have much of a beach though and you will need to go into town for a decent one .

It's a site devoted to San Andres and it's resorts. Most of the contributors are Canadian. Lots of commentaries on hotels etc.

I was there in July and was unhappy with the hotel in our package deal and went to Hotel Sunrise. It is the nicest hotel on the Island. The rooms ahould run around 75 a night...but  would I get your girlfriend to book it to avoid "gringo rates"
