Guys/Gals

My wife wants to take her poartable CD boom box home with her.  I was looking for a power adapter that would allow her to use her cd player there without blowing it up.  The guy at the electronic store said that the Philippines are on 110/220 just like we are.  Does anyone know what the standard household current is for the outlying provinces?  Most importantly Southern Leyte?

Any help is appreciated :c)

If you want, you can buy an transformer/adapter at most drug/department stores in the luggage/travel section. Should be under $10.

But first, look on the back to see if it might be switchable from 110/220. Some are.

I believe it is 220 everywhere in the PI.
I made the mistake of plugging in my boombox
without the adapter- it was destroyed instantly.
You can find adapters for as low as $5 in the
department stores.

Howard:

Ayesa can get an adapter/voltage regulator in the Philippines and it's much cheaper. Just be sure that she will put a sticker or writings on her CD that it's 110 so don't plug in. People might just plug it in as soon as she arrive.

Also she should take her  MTV & backstreet boys stuff with her. I know you will not miss them, Howard (LOL)

Tell Ayesa howdy and hope she will have a nice trip home.
