  Madmal, I posted a while back to ask if you had a trip report posted somewhere about going to Vietnam, but I guess you were taking a break from the board. Did you write about going to Vietnam? If so, could you tell me what archive it's in or approximately when you posted it?

I have a vietnamese friend that went, she said the first thing she noticed was people coming at her from everwhere..crowded...I dont think you will find very many people that speak english there either..I may be wrong tho..
Probably like Mexico, the girls will be friendly but If you cant speak Vietnamese( or spanish in the case of mexico) you are screwed. Unless you are going with a friend that speaks fluent Vietnamese, or you can speak it, personally I think you would not have much fun at all, and trying to meet girls on the street...forget it.
