Well my webhost is still switching servers so I posted some photos over at picturetrail in the interim:

http://www.picturetrail.com/caligringo

The password is a 4 digit number:

* The 1st digit is the number of basketball players permitted on court for a regulation team
* The 2nd and 3rd digits are the 1st digit multiplied by 3
* The 4th digit is the sum of the 2nd & 3rd
(Hint - the sum of all digits is 17)

I can't compete with the Batman and CP but some may find my pics interesting!

It's good to see some of the places the Cali gang talk about. Plus, the countryside is beautiful!

Nice pictures. I particularly liked the hotel at the waterfall/hot springs.

Glad you enjoyed the pics, I've got the contact #'rs and rates  of that place somewhere around here if you want 'em.  Not too far from that region (in Texas terms) there are some other worthy destinations like Panaca and the Cafe park.  I'd vote for any of these over the typical San Andres or Cartagena excursion while waiting on a spousal visa if you get the itch to get back down there.  (Are you still waiting on that visa?)

Fiancee and son now have their visas. Daughter has an appointment on November 17th (medical, then the actual interview, should take 3 or 4 days). I'll have their  plane tickets in a couple of weeks, they should arrive in late November or early December.

In your caption regarding Chipichape, you stated that Chipi has a larger food court than Unicentro.  That's not correct, since in the past year Unicentro did a large food court addition.  Now Unicentro has FAR more restuarants than Chipichape, and a larger food court.

Duly noted, perhaps I mislabled that one.  Where do you consider the centralized food court in Uni to be?  I did stroll about the new wing in Uni but it was in the "puente" afternoon - nobody there so nothing caught my attention.  As far as Uni I was disappointed with the "Exito" substitution for "Ley" - I was expecting an upgrade not a downgrade.  Oh well, at least "La 14" is closeby.

I'm sure you're right but I always get the impression that lunchtime in Chipi is a bit more "happening" than Uni, as I seem to have difficulty finding a table at Chipi during rush hour but never a problem at Uni.  Truth be told however, I prefer the proximity of Unicentro, my son prefers the rides at Chipi, my wife - well no contest - Chipi.

I agree, Chipichape and it's food court is certainly a more "happening" place, and the place to be seen.  The problem with the Unicentro food court (new addition) is that it isn't centralized, it's on the far end of the mall, also most of the restaurants are scattered throughout the mall.  I'm sure your son loves the rides at Chipi, it's a great open air atmosphere for the kids.

Cancunhound nice shots. You had a lot more snow on Ruiz than we did a few months ago. My first trip up there was in '97. At Los Termales we went to the springs about a kilometer down the road from where you went. Also beautifull and a really great place to take a chica.

They did mention the snow was pretty decent at the moment.  When visiting Termales, we did poke around abit downstream first before heading up to the hotel area - I'll second your suggestion that the whole area is perfect for taking a chica,   I liked that hotel setup because you could park yourself by the hotsprings and flag down a waiter for food and drink.  I noticed that horse excursions were available also - other than that, it's just an R&R spot and I wouldn't plan on more than one night there.

Curious, have you found any decent hotsprings located closer to Cali (that you can safely visit)?

There are termales in Pereira that I'm told are nice and a couple of hours closer to Cali but I haven't visited them.
From that termales/hotel at Santa Rosa there's a trocha up the mountain. They issue botas pantaneras at the entrance. Heard it's quite a scramble in places.

For those of us who know and care zip about team sports...what's the clave? I'd like to see the pictures. Naked chick photos show up every day in my e-mail. Pictures of Colombia are hard to find.

OK
hint - number of tires on your car including the spare,
that should get the 1st digit there.

{Since Batman arrived I figured we needed a Riddler}
